उत्तराखंड की संस्कृति काफी समृद्ध है यहाँ की बोली भाषा पहनावे के साथ ही खान-पान भी बड़ा महत्त्व रखता है,गाँव से पलायन कर चुके लोग शहरों में अपने साथ अपने रीति रिवाज भी लेकर गए और इन्हीं के साथ आज पहाड़ का खान-पान भी अलग जगह बना रहा है,राजधानी देहरादून में 'बूढ़ दादी' पहाड़ी मिलेट कैफ़े पहाड़ के पारम्परिक व्यंजनों को परोस रहा है और फ़ास्ट फ़ूड के कल्चर में अब पहाड़ी व्यंजनों ने अपनी जगह बना दी है।
