Lovely to hear. I loved slowdive first time around and saw them quite a few times. This is beautiful but I have always found the sound very melancholic too. This is probably because of my clinical depression. It's a shame as I find it really difficult to listen to them. It's a grey, chilly, rainy early afternoon in the UK and with the grey grumpy weather and my depressed brain I'm finding it difficult to listen to but it's beautiful too. Safe to say I don't like my "tricky" brain. Thanks for uploading
@@Vulmen311 yes absolutely, I tried to be considerate of that. Since I was in the front row against the railing I could film from chest height. I also want to be able to see and savor the concert for myself haha
Thanks sooo much for posting. I waited over 30 years for the chance to see/hear Slowdive live. As usual, someone taller than me or with big hair always seems to find their way in front of me blocking my view of the stage. What a great performance. They did not disappoint. I will be enjoying this for years to come.
thank you SO much for recording. we did see them last time ('18?) and waayyyy back in the day too. but this time around, the Chicago was sold out and tix were $$$. glad we can still experience it here - great quality.
I did consider this, but I was so close to Rachel that it was hard to capture her completely on the keyboard filming horizontally. I figure vertical video is more popular these days anyway. Had I been on one of the sides I would’ve definitely filmed landscape mode.

So excited to finally see them after all these years of fandom! How loud was this concert? I don't see them as a 'loud' band compared to MBV, but I'm almost debating not wearing ear plugs this one time to hear them in full glory.
Personally I felt the sound mix for Slowdive was quite good I would’ve felt comfortable not wearing ear plugs. The opener Drab Majesty was extremely loud though would recommend plugs for them. I suggest just bringing the ear plugs anyway and *ahem* playing it by ear.
Fantastic show. But I have to ask, why are all concerts now almost completely back-lit? The last five shows I went to, I never saw the band, just black shadows for 90-minutes.
For the love of humanity… video is horizontal not vertical. Think of a tv screen or movie screen, what shape is it…. Horizontal rectangle. Thanks anyway for recording. I saw them live for the first time a couple of months ago and it was amazing.
