This would have to be the best heart to heart between these two for a while. Now to get rid of the Doc and get them together . That’s the mission if the writers accept it .
The first Higgins and Magnum developed a father and son relationship over time. It was a beautiful thing in a splendid series. This one is lovely and I really like it, I just like it more if I separate it from the original.
The Two I Really Love Seeing Together That Is Becoming To Tell The Truth To Each Other❤❤❤Tried To Hold Their Feelings Glad When They Told One Another on Season 4 Episode20 😊😊
I like the Jay Hernandez as Magnum much better than Tom Selleck's portrayal. He often made the Magnum character seem silly & more or less hair brained.
I know that a lot of that may have been the writers, but he could have tried to convince them that his character should be a little more introspective.
I think it's just a era-specific style; the comedic shoutey bickering of the 80s version would feel as anachronistic now as Christian Bale's Batman talking like Adam West. Legacy characters change more than we notice, but those changes are only crummy when they're not in service of the story/audience, or warp the core elements of the characters themselves.
Lmao original Magnum is fantastic, but that show had plenty of its own silliness, bizarre plotlines, heartfelt moments, and absurdities. A modern iteration containing adults having a heart-to-heart is a threat to no one, least of all Classic Magnum. Way to go to bat for a level of dignity that doesn't exist, against a threat that doesn't exist either.
This scene is so grounded on what it means to be in this type of connection. I love their chemistry and their portrayal of what they should be bringing out as a message of true intimacy and respect towards another person/soul. 🪄❤️🌹
love Magnum and Higgins. Their chemistry with each other is just awesome. You feel them
Most honest heart to heart between them we need more complete transparency in this friendship we need more moments like this between the two of them
They definitely will for sure
Magnum is a great gentleman...

I agree and I think in this weeks episode we will see more of this as Higgins gets abducted and it's up to Magnum to find her :)
Yes please!
I second this
The Doc was ridiculous @@cjamparo

I think this version is better. I think it is more enjoyable to watch because of the wide array of character/actors in the show.
You're not missing anything

The new show is a thousand times better when they made the Higgins character a female
Progress...

The original Magnum PI has been turned into an afternoon soap opera complete with violins and oboes. Good job Hollywood.
