I wanted to add my definition of the Ego in view of the Larger Picture (think Tom Campbell and My Big T.O.E. here). We are all part of The One Consciousness when we are not temporarily separated (not really, but please follow along) in this physical incarnation. When we decide to incarnate again and come into another body, we decide In Advance what lessons we need to work on and a path of possible choices that will reflect our progress. The Ego is a collection of 'resistances' We Custom Chose For Ourselves, along with our lessons, that will offer us the required struggle we need to 'earn' the lessons. Once we receive the veil of separation and forgetfulness and come into body, and so fully dedicate ourselves to this 'reality', the game is on. It (the Ego) will take root in the physical world by the belief systems meta-communicated to us by our primary caregivers...i.e., the 'program' (Ego) is implemented and installed. The (Ego) resistances can seem stiff and unyielding, even torturous...but we custom chose them, make no doubt about this. Tell me, what life lesson has any True Value that one can travel Back Home with that was gained by easy victories where you barely need to show up or participate? The Ego makes whatever victories we achieve while here well-earned and deserved, that is its purpose and we chose the particular traits along with our lessons. Whether you choose to believe this or not, this makes one completely 100% Victim-Proof. There can be No victims and so we can get on with the game that much sooner. Or if one does get stuck in Victimhood, that is one facet of Their Ego that they chose as part of their 'resistance package', or 'bundle' and part of what must be overcome.
