I remember this storyline. Some great moments in TNA history were guys like Roode who could cut a promo like this and have you believe in him face or heel.
Kurt's gonna cost Roode the match, I can already see it coming It's a trope as old as pro wrestling itself; a guy in power announces himself as guest referee in a major title match, he seems to support the face and then backstabs him to help the heel win the title match and turn heel himself... add to that the fact that Kurt being involved with World Heavyweight Championship matches at any point in his TNA run has been when he was a heel and a betrayal of Roode in Lashley's favour will certainly be no surprise Prove me wrong, TNA, keep Angle neutral during that match rather than taking an obvious storyline turn that anyone can see coming

if you read the dirt sheets aka spoilers from weeks ago when this was filmed you would know who actually wins and that person is bobby roode, next weeks episode was filmed back in September well on the 18th of September to be exact.

I think the man deserves to be in the ring with the Cenas and Triple H's and the very best in the business. I like the dynamic with Lashley being that bad guy, but underneath it all he's a competitor and monster and he can back up MVP's words. Great segment by TNA.

He went back to Japan and ROH before signing with WWE. Dixie, Billy, Bischoff, and Hogan were the downfall of the Impact resurging.
They should've kept the title on Lashley. Keeping it on him could've helped TNA secure a major tv deal, cross promote TNA and MMA, legitimize pro wrestling a little bit, and given TNA some time to scout potential talent on the indy circuit to sign and build up. We all know Roode won the title which changes direction again for the company. Roode could still be used in main events without winning the belt or won the title under different circumstances. Otherwise it is doing the same thing which is why their ratings don't go up, rather fluctuate week-to-week. I think it is important for TNA to bring back the tv title, have a secondary title, and decide if keeping the X-Division title is necessary. People might disagree, but TNA's roster is very thin. Not everyone should be a world champion which is why having the tv title, tag titles and a secondary championship is a way to reward the hard working talents while the world title is used to sell ppvs and boost ticket sells.
