I've been using my Hurricane for several years and the bearing replacement on a used bucket is a nightmare, it will be rusted and hard to get out !! I sprayed WD-40 on it and waited about 5 days before attempting removal. After fussing with it for awhile it broke in half, then my son double up with a flat screw driver and the paint can opener and finally the other half popped out. I didn't order from the link ($38 for 2). I did find another site selling a 2 pack with the exact dimensions way way cheaper.
I don’t want to be a Debbie downer but these mops and buckets have a 10 year warranty and they will replace the mop and bucket for $12.99 processing/shipping fee. I have replaced mine twice already …I thought there might be a quick fix to why my bucket doesn’t spin any longer but after trying to get that gear thing out I gave up and just ordered the replacement from bulkhead
His looks brand new.. ours is rusted and won’t come off as easily… he should review an used one to see our struggles..just to remove the first part I used a butter knife… it was easier.. but then to remove the spinning basket was hard and can’t even remove the rusted part .😮
I pull hard but it still won't come out. I even sprayed some WD40 but still stuck. I'm afraid if I pull harder, the spinning basket will break. I already bought the bearing from Ebay. I was looking forward to fixing my spin mop. Any idea what I can do?
If the bearing sticks to the shaft very tight, the basket should still come out if you pull harder and longer time. Are you sure you have the same spin mop?
I have the exact same mop as in the video, Hurricane Spin Mop. It is still not coming out. If I pull any harder, I'm sure the spinning basket will break.
any ideas about how to replace the seal in the lower bucket on the Deluxe model, and where to get a new seal...mine is leaking water which kinda defeats the purpose of mopping
I'm struggling to get the barring out of the shaft. I've soaked it in rust remover overnight and it removed most rust but the barring is still stuck. It can't go up and down but does spin. Anyone have suggestions??

I cannot remove the spinning basket. Maybe it is rusty. Should I force it out by pulling hard on it? Or any suggestion?

The basket just don't come up it feel like a screw is holding it in place ???
On mine, there is no any screw. The bearing was just held by the plastic basket tight. I had to use a paint can opener to pull the bearing out.
Insert the hook into the center hole and pull the bearing from its back side.
Mine won't come off even if I try to pry it.
Bought the bearing but turns out I also need a new seal andbpissibly a new bolt

Ok I apologize it was rusted but my barring is on the long part can't get it off it wasn't in the basket
just pull it, the bearing should come out. The basket normally holds the bearing tight.

Use a hook like the paint can opener I used in the video. Insert the hook into the center hole and pull the bearing from its back side.

maybe you can try to use sand paper to smooth the rod.
