Having iodine tablets is not survival training, that’s prepping. Survival is using nature to filter and purify water. This is good info but what happens when you run out of tablets? Survival training is learning how to boil water and filter it using rocks, dirt, things you find in nature. Survival is surviving off the land. (From an Army Spec Ops vet)

If you boil water, doesn't it still possibly contain sulfates?

Daan L it just helps get rid of bacteria, but ofc it's not going to be 100% purified so it possibly does still contain it
