Concourse D - Renovation at Atlanta Airport - 2024

We will take a walkthrough tour of Concourse D as it appears following the beginning of the construction that will lead to the widening and renovation of the concourse. Concourse D is the narrowest concourse at ATL and in the first half of 2024 construction to widen it has begun. Multiple gates have been closed and blocked off with construction walls. This is to allow for the pre-fabricated sections (that are being built off-site) to be moved into place.
Concourse D is primarly used by Delta flights, but the extreme lower numbered gates are used by Spririt Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Alaska Airlines. Filmed April 2024

Such a small concourse. Expansion is greatly needed.
Flew out of D the week of Thanksgiving last year and it was PACKED!
Can't wait to see this completed.

Well, looks like it won't affect my flying for the near future as I'm generally flying to and from T, A, B or E and F 🙂 I'll be back in Atlanta on June 5th from Amsterdam and have a lay-over of about 4 hours before my flight to Tampa 🙂 I would like to take the opportunity to thank you, Brian, as your videos have definitely helped me getting around the airport confidently during my first few visits 👍
