Oh dayyyuummm.. this looks like a viable ESP Eclipse inspired guitar..... pretty insane what you can get for $179 these days ( in 2023 money too). Back when I was a kid lusting for even just a LTD version of an ESP Eclipse, they were way above what I could afford. All black hardware and a hotrodded humbucker spec too.
Contrary to some other comments I have seen posted the Stoptail bridge can go any way. Check it out at various forums even Gibson guitars that use it can be shipped either way. If you have problems with intonation switch direction of saddles to give you more room. Their is also a RUclips video explaining the geometry.
I remember getting a cheap Les Paul Custom clone (Aspen) 40 years ago. Beautiful guitar. It was special because it was my first guitar i bought new for 300 bucks. I remember i would tune it and the open chords sounded nice. But when I tried chords down the neck, man, it was very out of tune. So I sold it a year later. Enter eBay. Went crazy buying used guitars. All imports, but crazy cheap. Started to tinker with them since they weren't expensive. I wish I knew then what I know now about guitars. Long story short, I wish we had these good cheap guitars then.
Thank you for taking the time to review so many affordable guitars. We are living in a golden age of affordable guitars. I am old....lol...o l d ...and the stuff available for under 200$ is fantastic If a guy gets him some good nut files and learns to use em and takes his time and does a basic set up he can have an absolute gig worthy guitar for not much more than dinner out for a party of 6.
I used to play with some older guitar players in my local scene. Lots of experience to be gained and tricks to learn. One friend in particular who passed away told me that when he was young a budget guitar was actually straight up bad. Like no trussrod, frets all over the place, pickups that were microphonic af and all that good stuff. Neck issues constantly. Those guys never gave up. To be even to be able to get a guitar for this amount of money in this quality. I mean out of the box they need work. They get fabricated in a different climate other end of the world. Get slapped into boxes, get stored, get shipped across the ocean and somehow they hold up. In Europe we have Thomann and Harley Benton same kind of ballpark in terms of price/performance. In the old days the Japanse stuff was cheap and actually good. He told me how mind blowing Japanese Squiers were back in the day (JV models) later Korean stuff came also pretty dope. Nowadays China is picking up pace. Can't knock it for the price paid.
At $179 on Amazon and the Fesley website, I'm not surprised that they have sold out. However, the Fesley website states that they will be available again from March 2024. Looks like a pretty good guitar!
I bought the cheapest Epiphone LP made and it has a wrap around bridge and wonderful sounding P 90 pickups for $137 but i replaced the bridge with a wrap around bridge with tunamatic wrap around one so it is intonated perfectly and that added & $88 to the price . It is the best $225 guitar you can find for vintage sound and excellent tones. The neck is not bad and plays well every fret ! I play it thru a monoprice 20 watt tube amp that is a Laney cloned Cub 12 combo amp with one 12" celestion 70/80 speaker that matches the amp tone for $ 250 about and one year later both guitar and amp sound awesome ! I added a ABY pedal to also play my Bad Cat cougar 5 watt combo so it sounds stereo and really fills the room without being loud with both amps going and i got the Bad Cat on stupid deal of the day at MF at a huge discount with the vintage 30 speaker ! I have collected many vintage 12ax7 & 5571 tubes years ago before they became very expensive . I buy and bias my amps with a multimeter using two probes , one shows plate voltage and the other shows the grid voltage ! I cannot afford to send my amps to any shop for tubes which are just like plugging in a light bulb but you need to use the same number tube EL84 that came in the amp. Good equipment can be very expensive so i try to get the best bang for the buck !
SOLID BODY: The guitar body and neck are crafted using premium mahogany, ensuring durability and a high-quality feel. The fingerboard is mainly made of exotic purpleheart wood, adding to the instrument's longevity. I am guessing they must have died the wood black and Purple Heart is a nicely dense wood. @@MrJohnnyDistortion then you would love my 197825th anniversary fender Stratocaster that my parents got me in high school. One of the few guitars that did not turn completely green because of the silver finish.
@rattyguitars I might. There have been very very few Strats that have ever felt neck comfortable with me with the 9.5 fingerboard radius. One of them was a dark natural stained body rosewood Highway One that I didn't have the money. I went back and played a few more but they weren't even close to the one that I picked up. A simple Strat that was like liquid.
I just got one. Best inexpensive guitar I have ever played. It was perfect out of the box, except for one flaw - I had to file the fret edges. Big deal! The neck is shaped perfectly for my hands. I am amazed at how great the pickups sound. Buy one. You won’t regret it.
I'm older and looking to get back into playing guitar regularly.. I didn't want to spend a lot to get started again, and this looks and sounds great for what it cost. I ordered this exact one.. Snobs be hanged!
About a year ago, I was noodling around at my local Guitar Center and a guy asked me what a good starter electric guitar might be. I went to the used rack and there was a consignment Squire Strat for $80 bucks. It was set up OK with decent action, the pots rolled up nicely and looked fine. It was on a deal where it was Tuesday, but you couldn't buy it til Thursday (why, I have no idea). I told him to be first in line Thursday morning- I hope he grabbed it. The Chinese are getting extremely good at building guitars. In fact they're getting good at building a lot of things. Maybe it's time for us in the west to start doing some of our own manufacturing so we can compete?

Nice guy . I think that's a pretty decent axe . Would like to have seen his views if he'd lowered the action a bit .
Hey man, let's pay attention to indio guitars. I have two fender copies that were under $100 and my lord they are GREAT. KICK ASS strat and tele wannabes that absolutely are better than most of the squires for twice the price. Or 4 times the price. Really. I'm a pro musician and I'd do advertising for this brand proudly.
Look like the old school frets. Needs medium jumbos.
Nice looking guitar!
Really want one

Uncle Fesley!
