It looks a little busy, but I like it!
Ha! You were right! I like it!
Nothing more exciting than when you find out they are going to make something you have always wanted. On the flip side it does come with a certain amount of trepidation as you worry if they will screw it up.
Hey Jason!!
Mysterious Island. A hot air balloon was how they got there and a big part of how they left.
I have never commented on a RUclips video before but I feel compelled to share with you how much I honestly enjoy your channel.
Your sense of humor, creativity, whit, surgical delivery of dad jokes, and love for LEGO come through in every video.
As a fellow AFOL and father of two (8 and 5), you’re love for your family comes through in your work too.
Looking forward to the next video!
Id love a large-scale Nautilus submarine. They could make it like the one from the movie and tie into Disney lovers too.
My daughter received the Jules Verne set today and it's AWESOME. We now want to find as many tributes as possible and make it a point to collect them. Thanks for covering some of the other ones that exist!!!
Honestly, I'm pulling the trigger on some of my wishlist sets on the 16th when 2x insider points rolls around.
This GWP, I will have to keep for myself! They have not had many good ones this year, but the Fell Beast and this one are 2 I am excited for.
I’m buying this set second hand because I can’t buy any sets right now. Spent my 2024 Lego budget last year on the Titanic.
Man I was thinking about H. G. Wells 😂.
That would be cool too.
Some Time Machine and War of the Worlds love.
Is there a War of the Worlds set?
Josh drinks stuff.
Agreed. Lego must release a larger nautilus. It will be glorious.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Jules Verne saw or had visions of the future and just tried to describe it in his novels within the confines of the technology they had at the time. Space rockets, submarines, ease of global travel, Nemo.
Josh drinks stuff
As a BTTF fan I have the 3rd Party Jules Verne Time Train. And it's really cool. I've modded it to have opening windoor in the cab.
Maybe the train homage is to 'the Jules Verne', an express train that linked Paris and Nantes in France. I looked on the Lego site. I am a huge Jules Verne fan. I'm afraid I am underwhelmed with the set. Maybe Lego will make some sets based on some of the fantastic fan built sets on Lego Ideas.
I’m so happy for you dude!!!! ⚓️
When is the Showgirls set coming out?? What's the holdup?!
I've had similar concerns hearing people talking about the Time Train, but fingers crossed, they're just mixed up.
quick wild fact. Hot air baloon is a jules verne around the world in 80 days mandela effect. They never used hot air balloon to travel any leg of the distance in the book.
But exactly that is said in the video...?

Robar, and the mysterious island
Thanks, I needed this. Do you think this could be a precursor to LEGO steampunk? Mysterious Island blew me away!
I love 20,000 lags under the sea. Great vid!
I'm still reading it, and yes it is SUCH A GREAT BOOK!!!
GWP sets are the biggest scam Lego ever envisioned.
Instead of a product that exists to be bought, you need to pay a large sum for something else, and then get told that it is a gift. Why not put them on store shelves? Because that way they don't have to pay the stores. Why not sell them online exclusively? Because they know full well that people won't want to miss out on it. Consider: you don't want a specific Lego set right now, have just purchased, I don't know, maybe another large set, and then boom. A GWP that you love. Now you gotta pay 250+ for something you didn't really want. The GIFT is not given, it is sold by proxy.
And if you really wanted that and missed out? No problem, just buy the set from bricklink...which is owned by... Lego. Um. Hmm.
100% LEGO knows exactly what they're doing, but they're not going to change anything until it stops making them money
I think GWPs are a nice added touch and a smart business move for LEGO. I don’t think SCAM is the appropriate word. I’ll agree that some GWPs like 40598 are an odd decision, but for the most part I love a nice GWP.
It incentivizes me to make larger purchases with the allure of an additional set that may or may not sell well if sold on shelves. Whether I wanted that set or not, who’s complaining about something “free”?
A counter argument to your point about wanting a specific GWP and having to shell out another $250+ on a set/collection of sets; that is the unfortunate downfall to collecting. We as collectors must pick and choose carefully WHAT we buy and WHEN.
A brick built nautilus would be incredible.
But no reference to Journey to the Center of the Earth?
Big Jules Verne Fanboy Energy in the best nautical way. I feel a Jules army builder in the making.
I would die over a nautilus set!! 🔥
I have the Hans Christian Andersen and Galileo GWPs. I'm not going out of my way to get this one though. GWPs take up space in my collection.
Didn't they fly a balloon to Mysterious Island?
Is this for backorders as well?
I think any promos will show up in your cart at the time of purchase, backorder or not. However, I've also heard of GWPs selling out before the backordered item ships, so it's usually safer to add at least one thing to your purchase that is in stock.
Guess I'll hold off ordering Notre Dame for a couple more weeks.
That is very cool. I really enjoy seeing the real life historical GWPs. The cost to get some of them on the other hand, well, I'd rather not get into that can of worms.
😮😮😮😮 who never herd of him.
Bro was dying
Thanks for the *not actual gwp
I always thought copper like a penny
Might be the excuse to get the SLS. If I can get this with a $250, great. More than that and I might balk.
I hear that. I know I'll want multiple of these but I'm assuming the threshold will be close to the $200+ range.
I maintain a healthy fear of snakes. How do they move so fast with no legs? Not to be trusted
21 of june is my birthday!
You're about to have a great birthday
I was very pleased with this post. Jules Verne fans play Lego. It somehow seems to go together that young Jules Verne readers will later become adult fans of Lego. My personal dream would of course also be the Nautilus. In two versions: a small, really affordable one for young fans who might come to Jules Verne via the cool Lego model and a large version for the AfoLs. Of course, I'm also a fan of Jules Verne's books and not the kitschy films. But I wouldn't be so strict if Lego followed the Holywood versions. For me, the essence of Jules Verne is not the technical details in his novellas, but his way of dreaming the future and taking us there. By the way, my favorite book is not science fiction by him, but "The survivors of the Jonathan". Many greetings from Germany!
Price? 700$ and 99 cents please😂😂😂
😂👋👍
Still waiting on the review of this set now that you have it in hand . . . just saying. 😬
Nope. Couldn't' care less for it. They should leave it 20,000 leagues under the sea!
Meh....
It sounds bad, and Lego is not that bright at times!
God created humans and animals separately and Satan created the theory of evolution to guide people in the wrong direction. (1:23)
I'm glad God made man and man made LEGO and LEGO is making a Jules Verne set.
Then why do I have a dormant gene for a tail that has been turned off? Why would I have ever needed that gene?
Your brain is a counterpoint to intelligent design.
You do know that in the fictional book you're so obsessed with, God has killed millions more than Satan. Also the bible talks about how you should stone your child if they lie and is okay to sell your underage daughter off to marriage.
Jules Verne sucks.
More GWPs for me!

Between the Notre Dame reaction and ranking BeCAuSe iTs A cHuRCh and still clinging onto the disproven ape theory… I now see why this is virtually the lowest sub count for a Lego reviewer I’ve seen 😂😂🤡🤡🤡
