Regarding 80kmph....I, drive car at this speed rarely going upto 100; and ride bike around 60kmph 😅. I dont trust roads and fellow citizens. Risk on bike multiplies exponentially as speed increments, as compared to cars. Road smartness is an inherent skill which very few posses and even lower number of people willing to learn about it.
Nice Video! I have been riding for the past ten years or so, got a 200 cc bike and recently moved on to a 600cc bike. Thank you so much Prakash for covering this. I can confirm that this has gotten out of hand. Really bad and really fast. I am a biker from Pune, I have a Classic 350 and a recently bought Super Meteor. I am 20 years old and have a group of friends with bikes that go from 350cc to litre class bikes. All of us are roughly from the same age, and we have been driving for the past 2 years or so. We all got passionate about biking because of our fathers to get into bikes and looking up to them we too started doing our weekend rides, it used to be nice and peaceful calm ride on weekends, probably twice in a month and our got to route has always been from Pune to Lonavala. Never faced any issues from the police or any local authorities. I have personally seen multiple riders with zero protective gears, forget helmets, gloves and jackets, I have seen guys without helmets, wearing nothing more than a plain cotton shirt and jeans fly by the moderately busy highway that passes by multiple villages, is full of trucks and tankers and even a handful of military settlements. These guys ride with the sole intention of overspeeding, creating records of completing ride from one point to another, doing wheelies, sometimes even with a chick behind them, solely to impress people on their social media accounts. These kinds of riders have been ruining a beautiful hobby of tens of thousands of bikers in the country that ride passionately with the sole reason of enjoying themselves, exploring places and for the freedom that biking gives us. I have seen multiple accidents from these, chhapris, as most of us refer to them as, which has led to the local police and law enforcement particularly targeting us, they see our phone mounts on the bike, helmet radios for comms and assume that we are driving with the intention of overspeeding in the long and winding straights of the Old Mumbai Pune highway. And let me tell you, a lot of the clips that are seen surfing around online including some in this video have been shot here on the same highway. This really needs to stop. I have personally seen multiple accidents take place being of this absolute tomfoolery, which have resulted in serious injuries including being paralysed, losing limbs and even death.
You are 20 years old and have a super meteor??? You have no idea what it is like to get your first bike and get the thrill of speed when you are from a lower middle class family where owning the bike itself is a privilege, let alone any gear. Sorry for ruining your "beautiful hobby"😂 You were able to learn from a very young age about traffic safety simply because you are affluent, these kids will learn that given time too. The real problem at hand is how the Indian government hands out licences without any proper testing and how no actions are taken against such people and influencers.
@@dineshkrishnan4029 what even is your point? I can’t enjoy a nice hobby because I was born privileged? I shouldn’t complain about people not following the law because I was privileged to be taught to respect the law while someone who is poor or just ignorant of the law, that how I see it, should do whatever while driving, endangering themselves, which I wouldn’t have cared about, but also everyone on the road? Do you even have a point of is it just hate that you want to spread?
@@aaaaaaaaaaaavm Point is don't blame the player, blame the game. If the government takes the right actions these chapris will automatically reduce in number. Just because of your big cc bike and the fact that you can afford gear dosent make you a better rider. I have seen plenty of teens on big cc bikes act like idiots on roads as well. For most part, only the government is to blame.
Great effort brother. I agree with your licensing system update in India as well. Because when the system functions better, people also learn riding or driving in organized way. Also there are very few moto vloggers in India who really inspires fellow riders to ride without compromising on safety on legal speeds. I guess they should be more vocal in promoting fellow riders to become responsible riders. Few points especially to newer riders(even myself as I'm new): 1. Never ever even in your dreams push your limits in any case. 2. Never ever change your riding passion to profession which kills your passion. 3. Invest in some good safety gear right from your head till your feet like helmet, jackets, gloves and boots. Also don't be a hooligan on roads. You came to travel not to race. 4. Avoid night rides especially in foggy and cold conditions. 5. Don't fall in the trap of non stop rides especially if you're a young rider. Gain few years of experience and know your capabilities. 6. Most important thing! Get yourself into a job and then start enjoying your passion instead of forcing your parents. Don't waste their hard earned money in the name of your passion. Earn for yourself and start exploring things with wider perspective in this way you''ll become responsible citizen as well. 7. In my pov, Indian highways don't need a bike generating more than 40 bhp so don't fall in the trap of super bikes. Super bikes give thrill but they are expensive to afford and even more to maintain. Anyhow the best cruising speed in my pov is 100-120 kmph which is more than sufficient to cover even a 1000 km ride a day and crossing 120 kmph is gonna put you lot pf strain physically as well as mentally hence it isn't worth it. 8. Always give yourself sometime on a bike. Don't upgrade to new bike every year. Experience it for atleast 3 years and try to clock 40000 km on it to know its full potential before upgrading and make sure to upgrade in doubling power i.e, if your current bike generates 20 bhp then upgrade to a 40 bhp bike. 9. Don't indulge in road rage. You're here not to teach them a lesson but to create memories for yourself to cherish so ignore if anything happens and continue your riding. 10. Solo vs group rides: Explore both ways and find your comfort in either one. A group ride of more than 4 people is gonna irritate you hence find the best possible group for yourself. 11. Your family and friends are waiting for you so ride safe with caution. Like this if you found it helpful. Have safe riding journey to everyone.
Being a regular viewer I always loved your content and truly appreciate the effort behind every action taken to create such knowledgeable videos. The various agencies appointed by government are doing their job but as a young parent it is my responsibility to educate my children about this menace, only preaching about safe riding won’t help, and without making them realize the repercussions and life long burden of recklessness, education is incomplete.
Thank you for making this video. I am 40 years old, and i ride a relatively fast motorcycle. I also live next to the Noida Greater Noida expressway. Every weekend my morning sleep is punctured by the screams of superbike exhausts out for their sunday rides. I see wheelies, reckless driving, stunts every time i step out. And the worst part, when the police crack down on them, riders like us who never ride without safety gear, who never ride dangerously, get caught in the net. This is frurstrating. The evidence is right there on youtube. catch them, seize their bikes, demonitize the channels.
Thankyou brother for raising this issue. I am from mumbai and everyday I see many young boys driving recklessly their bikes on highway and causing threats to their lives as well as lives of other drivers on road and sometimes these reckless bikers end up loosing their life or having permanent damage or disability. I too have a bike but I follow every rule to my self safe and others too. And my request to all seeing this video is that please share with your colleagues and college groups. Maybe your 1 video share might endup changing someone’s perspective and also saving someones life.
Thank you very much for bringing this cancerous pandemic up! Its literally eating its way into our Indian youngsters. Please spread this video as much you can, "Janhit me Jaari".
Thanks for addressing this issue! Have been myself analysing this pandemic. Big influencers like the one you mentioned have many followers they should promote the right thing. As well as a country this needs to be thought of and required changes should be made. Jai hind
Such an amazing educational video. I wish more people would make such videos. I have had my “fair share” of rash riding when I was a teen. Things could’ve gotten worse but fortunately I crossed that phase in one piece. Couldn’t agree more to your point that age does help one get more responsible towards their actions. I’m 30 now and have become stable at my riding style.
no matter what others say age plays a huge factor in driving with caution. As a teenager i used to ride my activa faster than my current classic 350 infact i would never even go to a highway with a 2wheeler unless an emergency for my safety. this comes only with experience and knowing the true value of life. we need age based DL in India.
my friends who ride scooty ride scary fast like 70 n smal roads i always tell them not to no one listens, i almost never ride or drive myself, if i ever do i never cross 20, only in cycle i do 45~ lmao
You're in a class of 1 my man, recognizing a problem, talking about it sensibly and trying to incite conversation about solutions. In that vein, I am in agreement, I was a very rash driver when I was learning and young, and now it's all different. If something happens to me then it's not just my life I destroy, it's every one who is in my life. Even worse if my actions cause another damage, I destroy their life and the life of their loved ones. It's such a privilege being able to drive or ride and it must be done responsibly. Racing is best left on track where there are facilities and safeguards. I also go karting and race around there, on the road straight laced, follow the rules and make sure you cause no harm, to yourself or others.
This video was just great an eye opener for the youngsters the youth that they should be responsible and not risk their life appreciate the high quality content 😊😊
Now days this is a very serious issue in our country. Our roads are not made for speeding also nobody follows 'Traffic rules' then it's very 'Risky Job' to 'Over-Speed 'either it's Bike or Car.Thanks a lot for making this video, hope Riders will get this Massage..🚘🏍✔💯

To be honest , I dont wanna sound harsh but this will only reduce the number of idiots alive in this country. Problems arises when an innocent person who is following the rules dies because of this. Police need to arrest such influencers as soon as they see such video and we have seen a few getting arrested/fined but then again everything is back to the way it was before and such influencers dont change their ways :(
Massive respect for people like you. I've just come across your RUclips channel and I've never seen a RUclips channel with so much practicality and addressing daily life problems of normal consumers. You not only highlight the problems but try to give ideas for these problems with plausible solutions that are being equipped by other countries. Great job man ! 💯✨ Keep it up 👍❤
Have been riding from last 20 years and did all India and International ride. For me riding gave me more maturity and good friends. But now I’m about to quit as it’s no longer safe to ride super bikes in India. Thanks for such a great video like always.
I am 20 now. I brought a BMW bike when I was a teenager and thankfully I am still alive. I have been so irresponsible in my early days of riding. Now as the years went by I became responsible I am not reeving more than 100 kmph on highways and less than 50 on busy roads. The license system must be like that of Europe.
Thank you so much for making this video. I have a yamaha MT15. Recently met with an accident. A drunk car driver hit me from behind. Suffered femur fracture in left leg. Gone through a painful surgery where a rod is inserted in the leg. Fortunately i was driving at very low speed 20-30 kmph. No internal injury. No brain injury. But It will take 4-6 months for me to resume my usual life. Right now i can't even walk after 1 month. I am living an assisted life. This has huge impact on my family financially and mentally as well. Just wanted to tell that bike is the most unsafe vehicle to ride. Don't make it a hobby. Don't ride it for fun. That night I was riding my bike for nothing. I regret. Please install leg guard & Don't ride heavy motorcycle. My left leg femur was fractured due to the weight of the vehicle.
Yes, while getting more mature with riding experience my riding style has seen a lot of changes . Also seeing my close friend suffer from major accident and seeing them go through that was very hard . Eventually the response to our actions is very clear and definitely affects us and everyone else around us.
Dear Prakash, All your videos are informative, but this video is probably first if it's kind . I haven't seen any youtuber trying to spread social awareness on traffic safety .Kudos to you.
I am also a rider and glad I am not doing RUclips video. I love to explore all thing by myself not on camera. Yes RUclips videos make an impression on behaviour, use to watch some video jisme aggression hoti thi and I was like kabhi bhi road rage kar sakta hun. - thanks to Baba who is extremely experienced rider and guided me for long drive and mostly I am calm in driving and also share tips during long ride.
Finally a video on this. Changes to the Indian licensing system should have been done yesterday. 300+ cc category bike licenses should be hard to get by. Filter the users there by imposing proper riding school certificates, proper courses on riding and completion of certain mileage or years of the previous license class. Your videos are so on point. Bravo and thanks.
There should be a top speed category or even better power to weight ratio instead of CC category As 350 cruisers fall above 300cc but have a top speed less than 150kmph this would make tourers harder to sell
its not that black and white bro lol, some rockets like 390 can produce 45bhp and int 650 can do same 45 itself so now how will u regulate that? and classic 350 makes 20 bhp but ktm250 produces massive 32 bhp so we regulate 350 but not ktm250? its very complicated. im not saying its impossible to do but given our govt and their negligance and beaurocrasy i dont see it becoming a reality brother
Thank you for bringing up this topic. These maniacs not only risk their own lives and family's future but also make an sensible rider questionable in any situation. Defaming the entire community.
Superb brother this topic needs to be covered with proper analysis, the trend should be regulated by norms and regulations (licenses) I do agree that with age comes responsibility but the persisting problem is the era of reels and becoming famous with some handsome money ,if this continues this will eventually lead to multiplier effect in all scenario
Salute to you for bringing this up. Riders should think before posting anything to social media as followers do the same and I think we should always keep reporting those videos, which influences them to ride at 200/300 kmph. You may not be earning a penny from this video, but you have earned respect. That’s what social media is for, spreading a message, for the good cause. ❤
Hi Biturbo team, This was a really nice and informative video. Very necessary for public awareness. Good work keep it. Also, the EU motorcycle licensing system seems great. I think we should look at implementing these. And yes, with age maturity does come. I agree. Regards Kartikay
Man going 200 or even reaching 300 that too on a bike is mind-boggling 🤯🤯 no matter how good the roads are people in this country have no civic sense while driving. Life is precious and this whole zindagi na milegi dobara mentality also means that we get to live this life only once.
For that matters even reaching 150 kmph isn't safe on an average Indian highway. 120 should be the cap in my opinion. Cruise at 100 and occasionally touch 120 in this way one can keep himself/herself alert as well.
i stopped making motovlogs the moment I upgraded from RC390 to Ducati Monster 821. Currently I’m riding ZX10R and my age is 33. My progression from 150 cc to 1000cc has been over 15 years. And I completely agree with your views here. Encourage more track biking and superbike schools on BIC, make it more accessible for everyone to learn, experience, enhance and try the skills in a controlled environment of a race track.
As a commuter who travels in Pune this is very relatable because I also used to ride very fast when i was in my 19-20 but now i ride with responsibility as my perspective is changed i see lot of riders with high power bikes ride faster without any gear and helmet on busy roads they ride fast and blame on the others and honks constantly NAVLE BRIDGE is currently a death spot for these types of riders and drivers which includes all types of vehicles
Now that's a good video to watch. I am also guilty of watching and liking these types of superbikes for their speed and maneuvers. I have also planned to buy such bikes in the future because of my passion for riding, but throughout time I have also realised the fact that it is not safe to ride at high speeds on any road let alone Indian roads. I appreciate your effort to make such kinds of videos that have a good social and harmonious message. It works as a reality check for adrenaline junkies, like me, and realize the dangers involved at such high speeds not for yourself but for bystanders and commuters as well. I think part of the reason for me to come to this realization is my age i.e., 23 years, so I agree with your solution of licensing big engine bikes in accordance with the age of the rider of such bike.
I was a viewer of your channel but this video convinced me to be a subscriber too. I appreciate that you are concerned and making us aware too about this issue
I lost my friend in one such accident. He was a simple man, & had freshly entered into MBBS and had a bright future ahead. I don't know how and why that morning he went on a ride with his senior on his senior's new sports bike on the newly inaugurated Signature Bridge in Delhi. He was riding pillion and his senior was in the front. His leg got stuck in one street light wire and the bike lost control. They both fell on the ground from that height and met a painful a death. We had planned to meet in upcoming semester break but that never happened.

that guy in the begining that you showed didn't die when he was at 300kmph rather when he was at lower speed at arount 60-80kmph. His death was a hit and run case, a car from behind crashed into his bike from behind at high speed and and ran away while his head hit something. His entire body was alright, he died only because of his head injury. Mater of fact, most of the accidents happen in this country because of bad road ethics and charged people.
So happy that someone is actually pointing out this pandemic of overspeeding bikers. I've tried reporting the videos of such youtubers but youtube never takes action against such youtubers and their videos.
As a previous rider who never cared for life and would take pride in daredevil stints and races... I think after you hit 25(age) and get family's responsibility it is never the same. Got rid of my sports bike, switched to cruiser bike. Never even hit 100 kmph in 3 years. I am 28 now btw. And if I wanna hit more than 100kmph or wanna go on long travel. I use car that is more safe. To all the adrenalin seekers out there, I was selfish once seeking adrenaline and happiness just for myself. Start getting your kick from parent's happiness, it has no bounds...you will be amazed. Great work @Biturbomedia bringing this topic up, it was about time.

Hopefully everyone understands the meaning of hobby and passion. Someone like these squids are responsible for detoriating our passion.
Thanks for raising this issue.
Few points especially to newer riders(even myself as I'm new):
Have safe riding journey to everyone.
.
Looks like you poured you whole experience here. Thank you😊

Hey @bsenroy, I stay in Greater Noida as well, let’s meet up for a ride sometime!

Jai hind
This video was really needed...to me as well as for the young bikers out there. This made me think more responsibly. I hope this gets viral.
As a teenager i used to ride my activa faster than my current classic 350 infact i would never even go to a highway with a 2wheeler unless an emergency for my safety. this comes only with experience and knowing the true value of life. we need age based DL in India.
i agree i mean u are elimating a lot of places u can go if u just abandon highways lmao@@abhishekG5423
read my comment again for answer@@abhishekG5423 i use my car for highways.
my friends who ride scooty ride scary fast like 70 n smal roads i always tell them not to no one listens, i almost never ride or drive myself, if i ever do i never cross 20, only in cycle i do 45~ lmao

Take care . Best wishes.
Yes with age a person becomes more responsible, committed and careful.

Yes RUclips videos make an impression on behaviour, use to watch some video jisme aggression hoti thi and I was like kabhi bhi road rage kar sakta hun.

Good to see this video. Nowadays every now and then we encounter such bikers who are on roads just to take up a fight.
There should be a top speed category or even better power to weight ratio instead of CC category
As 350 cruisers fall above 300cc but have a top speed less than 150kmph this would make tourers harder to sell
@@vishalvan3317exactly . I have an enfield . It hardly produces 20bhp
its not that black and white bro lol, some rockets like 390 can produce 45bhp and int 650 can do same 45 itself so now how will u regulate that?
and classic 350 makes 20 bhp but ktm250 produces massive 32 bhp so we regulate 350 but not ktm250?

Salute to you for bringing this up. Riders should think before posting anything to social media as followers do the same and I think we should always keep reporting those videos, which influences them to ride at 200/300 kmph. You may not be earning a penny from this video, but you have earned respect. That’s what social media is for, spreading a message, for the good cause. ❤

Keep up the good work mate. Love your content. Very informative.
As a commuter who travels in Pune this is very relatable because I also used to ride very fast when i was in my 19-20 but now i ride with responsibility as my perspective is changed i see lot of riders with high power bikes ride faster without any gear and helmet on busy roads they ride fast and blame on the others and honks constantly

This man never disappoints ❤
This video was much needed bhai, loved it & loved the solution you gave as well.

that guy in the begining that you showed didn't die when he was at 300kmph rather when he was at lower speed at arount 60-80kmph. His death was a hit and run case, a car from behind crashed into his bike from behind at high speed and and ran away while his head hit something. His entire body was alright, he died only because of his head injury.
Mater of fact, most of the accidents happen in this country because of bad road ethics and charged people.
He could have died any day during that 250 - 300 k.m/h ride. We know how trucks and cars change lanes without using indicators on highways in India.
