It's beautiful ! Thank you for sharing ! Just a question :I've been told that when you dilute your acrylics with a lot of water, the painting don't last long in time because the pigments are no more stable. But I really like the way you use acrylics like watercolours and I'd like to give this technique a try
Hi, Thanks a lot!!! The canvas has a special coating so that acrylic with water does not penetrate the canvas, water with acrylic dries on the canvas. If you have made a lot of water, you can remove the excess with a napkin. Many artists do this in the background. I have never painted watercolors on canvas and I cannot advise you. I wish you the best of luck, it is always nice to experiment.👌🖼🎨😀
@@MariArtHome Thank you for your answer. What is the special coating on your canvas? If I prime my canvas with 2 coats of gesso, will that be enough? Or do I need another special product? I precise that I don't do watercolours (I'd like to try!). I paint with acrylics but the feel on your painting is looking like watercolour. I think I will try to paint something like that with this misty effect technique !
@@MariArtHome OK ! Thank you very much ! I buy my canvases coated with gesso but I normally prep them with 2 more coats of gesso as I don't really like the grained feel of the canvas. This way the texture is way more smooth. I can add texture if I want with modelling paste but I don't have this grained texture.
What product do you use at the start to make your oil paint so watery and smooth going over the canvas? Is it just water? This is a beautiful painting and I want to try it out
I do love this painting it’s really an art of work. I’m trying to paint this with you and was harder than I thought. LOL😂 I was like, “hold on, hold up, wait a minute, something ain’t right.” I had to redo this twice by wiping away paint til I got it just right. I’m drawing the piece on the right with less cherry blossoms, it’s coming out great now that I paused the video to fix any mistakes. P.S. I’ve stopped drawing for a while and never went back because of my depression and anxiety but later on I’ve gotten into fashion and my depression and anxiety got a little better but it’s still there. I have times when my hands move so much from fear of messing up then I’d have a faulty sketch when I thought of an idea. So this year I’ve decided to be spontaneous and just go for it no matter what. I plan to just watch different artists and I wanted to do something about blossoms cause I like them a lot. I think they are very beautiful flowers especially in summer wear I’m from. I came across this video so thanks for the video. Its really fun. ❤️🤗
Thank you very much for nice comments, look carefully at your paintings, it can be very beautiful, sometimes people really want to paint the same, although it has already beautiful picture, leave your picture as it is. PS I sometimes have the same problems with the painting I started, and I have to paint over and over again, but that's part of art, so we can gather our experience with it ❤❤❤😍👌🖼
I wet the back of my canvas and gives the same effect, paint moves smoothly across the canvas giving that misty effect just not as wet looking as it looks on here. I've tried wetting front and find its too wet.
you can remove excess water with a napkin, if the contour is bright, then at the end, when the picture is dry, take a little white paint with a dry brush and rub a little on the picture to create a fog effect. Of course, acrylic paint is not watercolor, but a bit similar can be done.❤🎨👌😍 Good luck!!!
@@natemakesumshake2268 Covid makes it tough to get downtown for the materials. I managed to get north of the city to a Chinese Art Supply shop, though, for new brushes, but they don't sell canvas :(

Hi from Norway :) it's so beautiful! Ur paintings are amazing. At the very end of the video, the finished painting looks more blue than black and Grey. Is there a reason for that? Thanks
🖐😀 I use flat brushes and round. You can buy a brush set cheaply, in set there are always multiple and, round brushes wide and narrow. Brush has to be silky. you can decide for yourself which brush you want to paint with. Indigo blue: you can mix black and phthalo blue, madder red- you can take pink it will be nice too.

thank you, I mixed black color with indigo blue. If it is lighter in the room it looks like blue 🙌❤🖐😊👌🖼

Very nice..Can I copy or follow the design?😁
Hi, yes you can, I hope you have fun 🫶🌹❤️
Amazing 😉 ❤️❤️❤️
What is the medium/additive you use to keep the paint flowing? And did you add it to the paint or water?
Mix acrylic paint with water, it's a bit different on canvas than on watercolor paper but the effect is almost similar ❤🖼👩🏽🎨👌
What paint brand do you use? What is an alternative color to madder red and indigo blue that I can use? Which brushes did you use?

I like acrylic paint "Amsterdam" , "Boesner". But I live in Germany and they are expensive. for beginners you can buy cheap ones,
What did you do in the end with the white to make the mist? Did you mix the white with water in order to make the white softer?
make paint on brush, brush must be dry. First wipe the brush on the sheet and with the rest on the brush you can paint the fog.❤
👍
❤🙌
What are you using for your pallette?
COLOUR : white, brown, indigo blue, black, madder red.
Is that gesso thats applied in the beginning ?
Only water and acrylic

Will this technique work on paper too? Or does it only work on canvas
At the beginning I mix a lot of water with acrylic, I think it works if you use cardboard, or paper for water color also works well❤❤❤
You apply something on canvas before start. What is it? It any gum or water?
this is water, dilute acrylic with water, wet the canvas with water, apply acrylic on the canvas and let it spread a little paint, and remove excess water with a napkin❤❤❤
did u apply water first on the canvas?
