Yes, you need to give time for yourself to calm down and get well I don't want my channel turning to a job. I love it the way it is. I post 3 days a week and I see it.
I'm praying for your complete recovery. I like the pumpkin square. I think with 3 other different Fall squares, it would make a nice pillow or bag. (leaf, acorn, etc.)
Christa the video looks great! The colors pop & the video is very clear. Stack in the back is even more amazing I can actually see what stitch you used on the projects. Fantastic job 🤩 I hope you feel better soon 🤗
Pumpkin Granny Square garland! So glad you are taking care of you. I don’t know what I would do without my crochet to ease away my stress. You are so much fun and I am honored to be a friend 😊
I love your pumpkin granny square...I know you have the flowers but would love to see other squares - maybe a heart granny, or dog or cat, etc. By the way, the camera looks great!
I'm glad to hear you're going to look after yourself, Christa! I hope you have Vitamin C to take to fight off the bugs! Cute pumpkin, but I rarely see pumpkin decor in Australia! Yes, it was lovely to have that message from you. I haven't forgotten & will organize soon getting in contact. Yes, I'm up in the middle of the night .... still! Gotta get to bed, but hard to move from my recliner tonight! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Hey my name is Crystil I am just learning how to crochet and came across this video.... Hope you feel better soon!!!! My grandma and Aunt use to use Sally's hard as nails all the time. Yes for sure gel nail polish does mess your nails up bad.. I went to the nail salon with my sister a few months ago and will not be doing that again 😅
OMG! I haven't commented in ages, Buuuuut, I have been laughing so much. When you were doing the eye test - better or worse, better or worse it just hit my funny bone. And I had the same experience with gel nails - ruined my nails! For some reason I found myself laughing and to top it off, mentioning Sally Hansen's Tough as Nails really set me off. Anyway, I had the same thing happen to me and even got theTough as Nails. I so hope that you are feeling better. And crocheting always makes me a little bit better and less stressed. Signing off from Vermont...
It's funny how quickly one gets used to a different climate, isn't it? I definitely get used to the heat faster, but since I got an air conditioning in my bedroom the process has definitely been slower. It was only 27 degrees last night, so I definitely didn't need a fan, let alone the air con on, but I had the fan on anyway, to make mosquitoes and other biting bugs to work for their meal. However, I had to get up to turn it off around 5 a.m., despite of being super sleepy, because I was so cold I even slept under a duvet for a while! It's still autumn, but the temperature in winter can drop as low as 21° early in the morning; up north and in hilly areas, it can get even colder.
Everybody needs "self care" time. Hope you feel better quickly. I'm 46 yrs old and can't remember a time that my Mom didn't use Sally Hansen's Tough As Nails clear polish
I'm a cosmetologist in the US. Gel shouldn't damage your nails at all. It might have been the product itself that wasn't good. A good quality gel shouldn't cause any problems. Topicals also are just a bandaid for nail repair. Vitamins help rebuild nails. I'm also the crazy person that would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see some 22 to 25 F degrees where I live. I'm new here. Crochet and manicures are my self care therapy.
Hey Christa! Your friend Sharon here. I’m writing to remind you that I’m a licensed Nail Technician in Pennsylvania, and want you to know that you can ask me anytime for nail advice. I’d have told you that unless you plan to keep up with the gel polish, not to do it because you have to buff up the natural nails to get the gel to adhere… You’re better off sticking with a good nail hardener and when you have time to let it dry properly, get a natural manicure with regular nail polish. I have two more craft shows and then I’ll be able to calm down and crochet for me. Thanks for sharing!! 💜🧶
Hi, @StitchesbySharonH!! Thank you SO MUCH! I feel like gel nails are like a modern self handicap procedure - damaging your natural body... If I didn't film my hands, I guess I could go longer between fills... it does look SO nice! BUMMER!!! 🌻🌺🌼

Crista, If you tap your nails on the table once or twice a day for about a minute it will strengthen them. True story.

Microplastics will
Ruin not only your nails but give you other problems. No cosmetology school
Will tell you that. It’s terrible. .

Take good care of yourself! I can measure how badly I’m feeling: if I can’t crochet, I’m sick. Rest. Drink tea.
