I visited europe with my family last month from Delhi airport. They asked everything related to my entire itinerary while giving boarding pass. Checked all the hotel booking even though i have visited europe twice in past. Asked for Return ticket, validated on their machine whether it is actual ticket or dummy one. Even on Immigration asked which places i visited in past and what is plan for this visit. While boarding plane, they again checked all hotel bookings.
There is definetly a process change in India,
But immigration in Europe was super smooth, no question asked and no paper checked. Just welcomed with a smile :)

No issue. You can carry upto a certain amount of foreign currency (i think 20L is the limit)

If you get randomly selected by customs screening then they can ask for bill of foreign currency purchase esp if you r not an NRI. You can carry equal to 10,000 $ in cash with bill.
Airlines boarding pass nahi dete kyu ki yeh overbooking kar lete hei taki airlines company ko profit ho sake. Phir woh 10 ya 12 person ka boarding pass deney kar dete hei aur unka full airlines cost trip free mei ho jata hei. Indian airlines ministery bhi kuch nahi bolti sabko profit jo hota hei ase.
I was traveling to serbia last year in dec via swiss air when there was no visa required for serbia. Like you said they started checking passports right of the plane disembarkation in Zurich. Obviously I had no visa so two policemen took me to airport police office in their car. This was my third visit to serbia and was a business trip. They made me fill a form checked the passport and invite letter and was free to go. So yeah thats what they are checking for.
Recently I traveled from 14 October to 25 October in Germany, Switzerland, Austria honestly I'm visiting for the first time and they didn't ask me anything I'm flying with Turkish Airlines .

Backpacking with Indian passport to Europe and America is very tough.
Americans and europeans are so lucky they get visa free acess to almost all countries except African countries and 2-3 asian countries.

You say that immediately after you left flight in Zurich, there was one checking your passport. They have been doing same in Canada and in that case they have been checking your passport twice while entering flight. The reason for this I believe that they want to take precaution that you dont claim to have no travel document and intent to ask for asyl.

Indian passport is so weak and main problem is people from Punjab . They do most of illegal immigration called donkey. India should make sure that once you try to do illegal immigration and once deported you're no longer to avail passport.
Also students from few communities in India who go to US/UK for education in not so good universities or simply using F1 visa as a springboard to enter US, then work illegally etc and earn, this has also been in limelight and discovered by US immigration/ DHS

So after my health got better i utilized my schengen visa for 3rd time. Took flight on 31st oct and sane thing happened with me as well. I will be back on 18th nov to india.
I have a question. Since i am 23 years age and a freelancer so initially I have applied visa with my mom 3 times. 2 times she travel with me and 3rd time ( current one ) she didnt use it and I used it very last minute when my health got better.
So next time when i come back this time i will apply solo without mom. Are there chances for getting visa ?

Airlines in India, are over stepping thier authority. The right to check bookings etc lies with immigration only, unless mandated by destination country rules.
There is no such circular neither from DGCA nor Ministry of External Affairs.
Its high time, tourists tweeted, this mis-use of authority by airlines, especially Indian Carriers.
Hi amit, can i change one of my hotel bookings after getting visa for czech. Other hotel bookings are same as before and travel plan is also same. Only one hotel i want to change, as later i realised it doesn't have good reviews.
With visa i received a slip which mentions that any changes in plans(hotel or flights) needs to be mailed to embassy with new documents.
Is it absolutely necessary to mention all the Schengen countries in the itinerary. Can i not mention only one out of two?

Let's say if you apply for Switzerland visa and showed swiss airlines ticket.
So while boarding at Swiss airlines counter they will have all details of your hotels already from embassy

Had a query, if I plan to travel to Serbia, either single or friends, I've US B1B2 visa valid , but I haven't traveled on this visa yet, but previously I have lived in the US on a F1 student visa, which ofcourse has expired and also it's stamped on my previous expired passport, B1B2 is on my current, so will I be able to travel to Serbia like you did with my above visa ? Everywhere in Europe, when you come, immigration department and border force involved in it, there is a lot of passengers coming from Third World countries throwing their visa in the toilet of the plane and getting the political asylum to avoid this, this kind of checking very necessary, how the pilot brought a person without Having passport and visa they will not allow to board from from the air plane, they will send him immediately back in the same flight the rest everything is right

Aajkal toh south asia main bhi entry lena mushkil ho gya hain. Jabki main 5-6 countries travelled tha uss time.

Hello Amit, we have same travel dates as shown in Visa but different hotel bookings now. Earlier we had show Dummy tickets of "Qatar Airways" and plan was for Switzerland, France and Spain. We got visa but now we have booked flight from "Swiss Airways" - To & From Zurich. Entry exit from Switzerland. Now instead of Spain we added Italy & Belgium and as a result , hotel booking is changed now. We are family of 4, I have traveled on Schengen visa last year but for wife and kids this is first international travel. We have opted for Web Check-in. Do you think this will create any issue for us , in context of hotels and airlines shown during Visa are different that actual airline and hotels ? We have all hotel bookings confirmed as of today. Only common things between Visa document and current plan is Entry and Exit dates are same. Please advice.
There won't be any problem. Just show them all hotel bookings at boarding counter

@@aamir003521 No not at all ! Everything was smooth. No extra questions asked any where , everything was as per standard procedure. We have done all confirmed hotel and internal travel bookings but no one check or ask for any details like confirmed bookings etc. at immigration as well as during on boarding. I was travelling from Mumbai to Zurich via Swiss Airlines and return flight was from same airlines from Zurich to Mumbai. I was travelling with my family.

Hello need some help. Travelling via munich, germany to uk from india and indian passport . I have a valid canada visa which is unused i have not taken a transit visa. can you let me know is it ok because on the german website they say you dont need if you have a valid canada visa. they never mention whether it is used or unsued.
