It is my birthday. My twenty seventh birthday to be exact. Despite being a Leo, I tend to cringe and want to hide when my birthday rolls around every year. For so long I have identified with the idea that all my birthdays are cursed and they are better just left uncelebrated. I no longer want to identify with that belief so I am attempting to have a nice birthday this year and actually letting the wonderful people in my life celebrate my existence.I have never filmed a birthday before so maybe I will need some practice but nonetheless, here is my little birthday vlog. The way you said you were trying to be open to being celebrated by others is so spot on. I hated my birthday for years because things that hurt kept happening on it. I finally was able to pull the "weeds" (ie toxic people) out of my life. Once that happened, finding people who WANTED to celebrate me was much easier, and I had an easier time accepting.

I’ve heard this a lot in regards to cold month birthdays, that makes sense to be a lil disappointed by that. But also I love the idea of leaning into the cozy vibes.
