  • 5 ways your parents hurt your recruiting. ⬇️
    1. Screaming in videos: When you send a coach your video and your mom is yelling in the background, it makes it difficult for that video to keep the coaches attention on you.
    2. Carrying your stuff: The hard truth is grow up a bit. If a scout sees your parents holding all your gear that is the fastest way to get crossed off a list.
    3. On deck chatter: Make sure mom and dad aren’t talking to you while you are on deck. That is your time to focus and be thinking about the game. Not dad telling you an in depth how to ‘squish the bug’.
    4. Not being involved academically: If your mom and dad aren’t helping you stay on top of your schoolwork, you will fall behind and loose chances to play at better schools because of your grades.
    5. Training: If you’re 14 or older and your parents don’t want you lifting weights they are holding you back. The younger you are the less weight you should be using. Don’t kill yourself under a bar.
