I love reading examples of Russian sentences with English translations. I just bookmarked this video. Thank you very much. Useful hotkeys for keyboard. *J* - rewind by a few seconds. *K* - toggle play and pause. *L* - fast forward by a second.
I'm Challenging myself to read the words before you, not much time gap, some words I pronounced wrong but most of them so far i've got correct. I Can't read them as fast as you, so it'll train my brain to read them quick when i see them! Also the good thing about this is that if i pronounce it wrong, you will say it after me to correct me.Great video Denis! spacibo.
I have to say that most of the poor Russian nationals that I have accosted over the last year of my learning 'journey' have very much appreciated the speed with which I've conversed, despite the odd grammatical slip :) The lady in Tesco especially who, bless her, thought that my pronunciation was decent - chuffed!
Focus on learning the alphabet first and pronunciation of the letters, then practice phrases afterwards :) Also if you have trouble saying longer words, try to divide them into syllables (clap with them for example) - it helps me! :)
I like this kind of video, even though it will take me an eternity to be able to understand a full sentence in Russian. I'm American, please tell me how to properly pronounce the female name "Kateryna".
I apologize for my ignorant response to you. When I went to that website, I had no idea what I was looking at. I only know American English. I am just frustrated, because I've been fascinated with that name ( I fell in love with a Russian girl named Kateryna a long time ago ), and the spelling of that name is so sweet and feminine. I used to pronounce it as if it were an American name, and she was probably used to Americans doing that, because she never corrected me. A few days ago, it occurred to me that I have probably been pronouncing it wrong for a very long time. I tried to google it, but I wasn't able to find it. Please, just write how to pronounce it in hyphenated syllables.

Well, this video was designed for repeating after me. To go ahead of me, the time gap is not enough. Probably, the pause button can be of help?
