- So after catching up today with the semi final 1, I can say that some good options are there. Iolanda was absolutely stunning so I can't wait to see what happens with semi final 2 because I have a song that I really love from there too.

The performance elevated the song so much from the studio version. The visual experience really complemented the song's lyrics and mood.

Iolanda is still my favorite of the season (and Annalisa) (and a bit Jorge) and am sooooo relieved she is amazing live. Hoping for the best!

Iolanda: I like the song but i think staging could be enhanced... much more. Love Rita Rocha, com on, she is only 17 years old she delivers on vocals... It's rock on the harp. You should try listening her version form Olivia Rodrigo to The Voice Kids.

First of all, I was SUPER impressed by this national !!! The quality of almost all participants is AMAZING and the production was awesome, very very well done Portugal !!!
But I am also sad that Casa Portuguesa is not through. You and me were one of the few that liked that song when it came out I think. But the staging was very meh and weird with the hay and the woman walking around all the time, it didn't transmit enough.
I liked Nena very much, very sweet and very very well vocally, but not for ESC.
You remember that I wrote that Mela would only work if the staging would be great? Well the staging was very weird with those people under blue fabric and then suddenly flowers??? And vocally she was not good live at all, no.
And then, Iolanda, when I first heard it, I liked it, thought it would be a good option but was not extremely impressed. Yesterday, she was just PERFECT. Ready for ESC, the best of the night. I love that song now, very very good, winner for now in my opinion. I especially like that she is the first singer I have heard in ESC this year that does "high" notes that are alt, not soprano, and 100% clear and perfect, not shouty trying to be impressive, just controlled steady half high, perfect !
Not a fan of Joao and Rita was a bit boring to be honest, although I also like the chorus, and she is obviously a very very good musician.
I FULLY agree on Iolandas comments from you. Those highs were exactly how you described them. Clean and pleasant to hear watching from tv. She is veeery strong live and for me had also the best concept on stage. From this semi final 1 I think iolanda was the only one who is ready for Eurovision and gonna achieve good place. I could see the song qualifying for sure in the final like that right ?
About casa Portuguesa yeah :/ it was a bit weird to see the staging :/ pity because the audio till now everyone I heard it was very catchy.
About Agua … I was devastated … because she reaaaally didn’t sing good live :/

My favorite is Iolanda but hands down to Rita Rocha...
She is 16... Three years ago she entered in The Voice Kids with 13 (still don't understand how she didn't win...) Already writing her songs... She plays the harp as you can see here in her blind audition.

But literally hands down to Rita and I am very glad she made it to the final. Even if she doesn’t win and it’s Iolanda , the competition is very strong
Finally got caught up on the all the lives from Saturday night and wow Iolanda🤯 It was absolutely incredible🔥 She was my favourite originally but after that performance it’s now by a distance and absolutely has to go to Eurovision💯

When i seen the results without performances i was shocked Mela missed out but tbf after seeing the live i can at least understand why in the end. However my biggest grower of the night was surprisingly Nena she was probably my second just ahead of Rita.
Yessss very true ! You commented on the previous video about Bispo and you were right. And I am a bit sad he is not in the finals. But I can also understand why.
I am still so stunned by Iolanda. Just wow !!! For now without seeing the second semi I can say that the best result for Portugal will be reached with Iolanda. I can’t wait to see also Filipa … I really like her song too
@@georgikanevESC i was near in disbelief when i heard Noble won the runoff televote to get in over Bispo tho. No Maka x Ana Maria is my favourite in SF2 but looking at their odds i shouldn’t even expect them to qualify sadly. I’m also a big fan of the other Rita in that Semi however after Iolanda’s performance whoever wants to challenge her has a serious task on their hands!

@@georgikanevESC his performance (himself) on stage was Ok, very laid back natural but for me just the scenario behind was a poor one they could have done something more realistic to describe a real portuguese house
