    Made a few tweaks to my own game through YT videos.
    Cueing straight being the obvious one, but hell, it made a difference immediately.
    Doubles is another one, give yourself another out!

    Thanks again, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that you are the best English 8-ball online coach on RUclips. Never thought I'd say that about a fellow Aussie ;) I always think when I watch these great positional videos that it's a pity that us lower grade players can't pot balls as naturally as you do so that we can fully appreciate and focus on this positional stuff. Missed shots always spoil our games. It's funny that what appears so easy for one person is so difficult for another, like just knowing where your cue is pointing and not shooting across the cue ball is so hard for most people.

    My motto, the easy one, isn't necessarily the right one.
    In practice, go for the less obvious and work your way into a position to break little clusters up while retaining position.

    I play with a dude who thinks we are equal. I am still dealing with brain damage. He just sucks. He doesn't even know how to hold the cue. He can only play follow shots. I can draw table lengths. I've seen him draw a couple of inches. I've never seen him play a stop shot at any distance. He thinks we are equals.

    • @MichaelScerri147
      @MichaelScerri147  Месяц назад

      Unfortunately, you will get people like that. Just try not to worry about it and let it affect you.

    • @Lexicologist1971
      @Lexicologist1971 Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, he is actually a nice guy. He actually thinks he is helping. I try to keep that in mind. He has horrible technique. His middle and index finger float an inch off of the table. They join at the tips. That is his bridge. He jacks the stick up for every shot. He only hits centerball. He only hits soft. He only plays follow shots, regardless of the pattern. If a follow shot won't take him to the next shot, he plays safe; a weak safe.😊
