- Join me and @themepark_united as Alton Towers invited us down to their Splash Landings water park to explore the attraction as press were allowed inside to film some Splash Landings POV's on the slides and to soak up the atmosphere of this lovely little Alton Towers Resort offering.
Please note that filming inside Splash Landings is usually strictly forbidden and we were allowed 60 mins of access to film this content alongside other invitees. This was a #gifted experience from the park, thanks for having us down!

Enjoy our trip to Splash Landings. New 'sparkle' additions include new indoor flooring,, a revamped reception and a few bits done to the pool outside. No major changes, just 'sparkle'. I'd love a Splash Landings expansion or even a swim up bar in the future, desperately missing another thrill slide too! Enjoy the video!

Looks decent tbf. Smaller than Waterworld. That first ride looks good.
It is the only proper water ride there really the rest are nice little casual slides. Decent park to be fair but definitely not one I'd go out my way to visit regularly
Absolutely shocking place.. was there last week, over a hour queue for 1 slide.. 2 and 1/2 hours and nothing to do but stand and wait for a rubber ring!!
Will not be spending that money again there and recommend avoiding
It does get rather busy! As to be expected when the kids are off unfortunately 😞

Splash Landings is great and well worth a visit! It was the busiest we've ever seen it bank holiday weekend just gone which is great to see. Visited last year in August and it stayed open till 10pm for hotel guests which was fantastic, just wish this was the case more regular.
Later operating hours would be great... would warrant that swim up bar too.....

Trafford council approved it in September last year I believe but nothing has happened... hopefully they get it built it looks impressive!

Whenever I've peered into Splash Landings It always seemed like a kids water park and I've never felt comfortable going in unlike the Disney ones where it feels everyone is welcomed.
It definitely attracts more children and the rides are quite telling of that for the most part although the master blaster is a ‘thrill ride’ it’s hard to justify the cost as an adult in here. Is Disney more catered to everyone?

How long can you be in the waterpark for?
10am-4pm normally mate, we were only allowed film for an hour before it officially opened to the public at 10

If you’ve got permission then go for it just becareful and respectful when recording

We love splash landings. What are the new additions that you briefly mentioned as couldn’t see anything new from the footage?
Although it looks expensive, if you have a group of you (4 people plus) I’d also recommend paying for the Tiki Cabanna at Sandcastles in Blackpool as we found it great value when we broke everything down coupled with the fact it’s a full days access and not a 3 hour session like the other packages

@@LiftHillsandThrills thanks, hopefully they’ve sorted the patches on the hotel wall that joins onto the waterpark where they’d stuck blue plastic to cover up what I assume was paint that had come off

There isn't any other than new floors, revamped reception / break room and some extras in the changing room and outside with the pools. no new slides / additions just a 'sparkle project' that wouldn't go noticed unless it was specifically pointed out but it does look nice
