I went from Bauer customs to True TF9s. The improvement in my skating was dramatic. I have odd feet, wide forefeet, narrow ankles, Bauer customs just don’t take that into account correctly. Even though the TF9 is an off the shelf skate, they are so thermoformable that they fit like slippers. In fact the only problem is getting them on and off, it takes a wee while, with some care and gentle persuasion.
Exactly why I’m getting these skates. Mine is huge on my right foot and regular skates hurt after a hour or two. As a ref now I need to be able to work more hours in a day
I have one right under my right ankle. It’s horrible in ice skates. I have Tours for roller which it doesn’t hurt in because they’re so wide. I don’t have wide feet but Tours are the only roller skates I can skate without pain in for the navicular bone
When i got my True VH’s, at the end of the scanning they took a peice of paper and just traced around my foot, ans my feet were sweating to bad the paper was stuck to my foot when i went to lift it up ahhaha. Either way the True VH’s are awsome and if you have fucked up feet like i do id recommend these to anyone
I was told by True that they are to only be tied up at about 70% and to leave about 3 or 4 eyelets not tied. Then to have shrink wrap placed around the boot. Apparently baking them and then tying them up like normal can rip the eyelets right out. Then to keep them on for 15 mins and not to walk on them for 4-5 hours. Maybe they have changed in the last year? I had mine done 3 days ago.

@@jcoops4911 the caption says his first since vh was taken over by True, which was 2+ years ago. Since his vh skates he's gotten at least three new pairs within that 2 year frame. One with the original true holders (in this video), one with the marsblade, and one with the new shift holder. That's why I asked if the video was old.
Tell me these will solve my aching foot problems, Bauer bumps (on each foot), narrow heels, wide toes and one foot being 3/4 of a size smaller than the other. Right now I barely make it through a 90 min session of shinny without them hurting.
True SVH's are a life changer. They're so good, they'll trigger a slight depression by making you wish you had them your whole life, and what you could've accomplished had you not worn improper skates lol. It's almost impossible to play before these, since there was so much discomfort distracting and preventing me from playing. I have bunions on both feet, probably from wearing horrible skates my whole life, super high insteps, a normal sized heel/ankle, probably a EEE forefoot, and one foot is longer than the other lol. It's a nightmare. I'm beyond Bauer Fit 3's. If I get a skate to compensate for my wide foot, I lose support everywhere else since the boot compensates for high volume. When I'm just high volume in the forefront/instep. My 3D scans were absolutely atrocious. My SVH's are perfect around my ankle/heel, wide enough in the toe, and just everywhere. They're custom lol. I won't buy another skate again probably. These make hockey playable and enjoyable. I can't say again. I've never experienced that. Putting them on is EXTREMELY difficult depending on how your foot is shaped. It's a complete PITA for me, but once they're on, they're like wearing a sock. It's unreal. I can go two eyelets down luckily, but I have to put my foot in sideways. Then it's the hokey pokey, a little twisting, a little pressure, and my foot is in finally. I'd trade in the putting on discomfort(it actually kinda hurts), over the once-in skating discomfort, so. It's just how custom skates are, and I'm sure a lot has to do with the mismatched foot width. My ankle is normal, but my forefront is wider, so I have to go through a tiny opening. ibb.co/qjtJhfh
Just got my trues baked today at source for sports....baked for 10 minutes (I assume you did 15 because of the oven) then had them on for 30 minutes. Laced up 3 eyelets down and top was saran wrapped. Wasn’t supposed to walk or even put them on for 24 hours after.
I just got my pair and they recommend 24 hours but I took my skating a couple hours later(true suggests waiting a couple hours) and so far been amazing. Besides the baking process which took quite a long time.
Pavel Barber I meant like if u need a special fit it’s perfect but if u have a regular foot it’s better to go with something lighter like Bauer. This is just my preference I like true skates and still think it’s amazing what they do
@@Ja9two The issue is that I don't think you've ever purchased a pair of True skates so you don't really know what they feel like. If I'm correct then you really can't comment on the fit of these skates. And it's not just for people with weird feet. It's very good for any foot shape, perfecting the form fitting size.
Thumbs down from me, It would of been better to have you skate them factory fitted to see how good the fit is after enough foot pics to please the average foot fetishest. Peace.

That's awesome. I have an accessory navicular bone in my left ankle. This will help me skate with ease.

Yeah they probably will. I got the same foot difference and just ordered a pair of true SVH, hoping it’ll do the trick and fix my pains
