Not sure if you guys noticed but the narrator was Anno Un, where she said their destination "Andy and Fuko are heading to Canada, Where I am right now."
Well shit, didn't notice that.
Yeah, I noticed. And it made me realize where they were going with the recaps at that point. I think they made the recaps too long even knowing this, and it doesn’t remove the flashbacks being too long either or the padding for time moments.
Believe me, it gets way better I'm caught up to the manga, it's ridiculous how good it is, and the anime adaptation has been flawless in my opinion, hulu destroyed the hype of what could have been a top 3 anime in fall 2023 and winter 2024😢

@@slurpingmario8006 Yea fs its not perfect, but its getting there. Undead Unluck starts off pretty good, but becomes phenomenal. highly encourage you to read the manga if you havent, has me feining for new chapters every sunday lmao
The only way I can see the studio redeeming this is by dedicating a special episode to Fuko and co. defeating some anime original UMA Recap monster and then stop doing the fucking recaps from that point. 😤

I like Undead Unluck, look it's not a battle Manga Manga in that martial arts or samurai way, but a more quirky type of power system. Why I love this series so much is that there's always a payoff, to me it's just so much fun and Fuuko is probably one of my favorite characters ever in terms of development.
Fuuko has insane development for sure, especially later on in the manga
as one fo the people who said before that it should be smoother going forward: I got nothing. really can't comprehend the sheer volume of recaps in the anime. Its really the only flaw in an otherwise phenomenal show but they've become so grating to me.
for reference, they have to animate like a full 3 chapters per episode going forward to make it to the end of the arc, and they've so far done 2-2.5 on average, so the math lines up with them doing less recap going forward. but somehow they keep doing it, so IDK.
Anno Un is one of the best characters in the series I’m not kidding 😅
This director or whoever tf making the decision with all this recaps need to be stopped or they'll start infecting other series. We could've had another 2 arc if not for that bs. The manga alr had 200+ chapters and we're only on like 30ish in the anime

Nah fr, I’m anime only and when I noticed they were also playing that zombie scene a lil too much I was just like “why.? A simple scene was fine
This episode confirmed that the recaps were being done by Anno Un Sensei, so I have no problems with that idea. Although they didn’t execute it that well, making the recaps too long, to the point most people would skip it and not even realize it. The recaps aside, the flashbacks are also a problem, I don’t inherently think the flashbacks are awful either, at some points I would say they would be necessary, but again they made them too long. And aside from those 2, they still added in extra padding time, that didn’t expand on material already present or add anything interesting.

As bad as the recaps and flash backs are and I hate them too. They still manage to get a lot into the episodes. They are definitely finishing this arc at the end of the season.
Which actually makes the recaps seem necessary so I kinda wish the season was 22 episodes long and not 24 just so the recaps could have been cut

Ok everyone! Time for a little crash course on G-Liner!!!! This is purely for understanding purposes. Bc I legit had to go to the wiki page to learn about it bc it's not exactly explained in the series itself.
G-Liner is an artifact with ability to bring drawings to life. Nothing is off the table when it comes to this ability. The better and more accurate the drawing is, the more potent it becomes. Meaning every single object across all of fiction is accessible with G-Liner. And that includes the dragon balls, the Hogyoku, Wukongs staff and his other treasures minus the armor(I'll get to that later), the Lantern Rings and the zanpakutos. Whatever you can think of and draw, G-Liner can manifest.
And the duplicate is ALWAYS as strong as the original with the same exact abilities.
There's a few catches tho.
Only one object can be created at a time. Regardless of what it is, is still bound by the rules of G-Liner, meaning if I conjure an indestructible shield, and want to make a sword. The shield will be destroyed.
No living things can be made using G-Liner. Meaning you can't make an entire duplicate of yourself. But, you can make PARTS of a whole living being.
One drawing at a time. This is from my understanding from the wiki. Every drawing you bring into existence can only be done once and only once.
Meaning if you have a copy of Ryujin Jakka and either it gets destroyed or you make it vanish to create something else, you can't bring it back.
If another Ryujin Jakka is to be made you would have to give it to another person.
Every drawing is bound to G-Liner. Once that pen gets destroyed, whatever is already brought to life will be destroy along with it.
There's another catch but I'll keep it hidden.
A lot of these are just your own assumptions and not inherent parts of G-Liner’s abilities, but also what’s the point of this comment when we’ll learn the gist of G-Liners abilities in the anime eventually? There’s no need to pretty much spoil everything that hasn’t been explained about it yet. :/
@@TrulySomeone most of it is indeed confirmed according to the wiki. Everything about the items themselves(like the part about being across all of fiction )else is indeed speculation but it's still fully possible after seeing it in action.
But. The author has a nasty habit of not explaining things thoroughly when it needs to be. Therefore the assumptions are totally called for.
G-Liner is broken as hell. Therefore its limits need to be understood otherwise people are gonna go "G-Liner solos your favorite verse" and all that stuff. We don't want that now do we?
Like I said. The author in some parts of this series doesn't explain things enough when it comes to the artifacts. I bet nobody can explain how Blade Runner works without looking at the wiki page.

I love this show, but its so annoying with all the recaps.
I’m so done with these flashbacks. At this point it has been at the very least 2 entire episodes worth of just “previously on this thing!” What is this dragon ball? We could have done the entire autum arc if this was paced properly, if not further. It’s infuriating from a manga reader’s point of view because the slower pacing is really killing the show for me.
