Given how the other first class mage knew the kind of monster inside the labyrinth I wonder if Sense knew that her being there is enough to influence the test.

This is interesting because it links the Unified Dynasty to the Goddess, and also to Ewig who supposedly knew spells for resurrection and immortality. What even is the Unified Dynasty? On speculation alone we might think it's a great kingdom that encompassed the entire continent, likely before the era of the demon king, or during the so-called "mythical era" that Kraft talked about.

But if powerful mages can defend her, she can overwhelm the clone with rapid fire offensive magic.

Frieren has so much more raw power compared to fern that she can tank her attacks despite being slower, while one good hit can end fern. We already saw how techniques fall apart in front of raw power when Denken's powerful spells couldn't penetrate frieren's basic defensive magic. Fern can't take on frieren in a 1v1, she needs support.

Even if they trap clone Frieren with a mimic, it has already been established that original Frieren can get out on her own by blasting the inside of the mimic, so the clone would probably just do the same, assuming that clone Frieren even has a mind or would be drawn by a prospect in obtaining treasure inside a chest.

Frieren ran into 3 stille but had to settle on a roundabout tactic to get it in close enough range while sitting still so mana wouldn't leak out. Meanwhile it's not show but very much implied in the little flashback that fern just walked up to the first stille they saw and used the bird catching spell
