Okay, the stream being what it was and in the fair interest of disclosure-- sure, Fuuchan. I am bad at ranking things, so here's a selection of some of the more unusual ones that come to mind offhand: Once had an odd RP involving the equivalent of a not-quite-alien flora closest to a pumpkin patch, called hugwort. It was cute and silly and you know, not something I'd seek out, but we had fun. I think that's probably the least common I'd expect to see other people have. Basically, monster-tentacle-plant with snuggly vines. Harmless, kinda cute, bit odd. Hyper-intelligent alien/ancient being recovered and sent to a lab, where it broke loose, was semi-like a slime, and could ovip- or infect humans with a virus that turned them into the equivalent of zombies without decay, which would eventually make them go full hivemind. They were, of course, very-- I mean, you can guess what they were fixated on to keep them occupied. So that was a fun survival scenario and an unusual 'being'. Let's see... Um. There's a certain game about some parasites in a city. Iykyk. I liked *some* of the things from that, but nothing that tried to eat my face. Sometimes aggression's just fun. Hm. Sentient chain-being that was tantamount to a person who *also* was the chains he commanded. I guess that's just a reflavoring of something we already talked about, or like a magic-user maybe. In general, and maybe this is my grey-ace showing, but I think situations/behavior are on par with unusual physical traits. So monsters tend to be a vector for 'flavors' if you will, rather than something I specifically seek out for liking a particular type. Many of the things we pointed out today suggest that as well, since often the traits, situations, and behaviors are shared by multiple kinds of beings. The way a creature moves or conveys its intent can make or break a design that otherwise may not be inherently interesting. I think that's the case in both SH monsters we talked about today. Anyway, thank you for such a fun and unique stream. I liked hearing your and the comfies' viewpoints-- I've never been part of such a large-scale open discussion, and it was good to see people actually explaining their reasoning instead of just laughing or being coy about it. So yeah, I'm really glad so many were engaged in actual conversation. If something else comes to mind, I'll drop it, but offhand, I think those four are a bit odd, if all for different reasons. Still, you look into these things long enough and you start to wonder: what really IS weird at that point? And I'm not sure I can tell. Otsufuu. Positively surprised that this stream is still up As requested...I'd say the weirdest thing I've fantasized abour is a full on tentacle monster. As in, no human-like body, just....tentacles. I blame a fic I read ages ago. There's something about tentacles, man...think of all the things they could do, even at the same time!
