I feel exactly the same, I just can’t think about living far away from my parents. Everyone in college comments that you’ve got to be away, you’ve got to detach from them, it’s such a lame excuse to not be in the hostel and I’m like NO... I have to come back to them hug them and see them everyday. Yup I do put my family over anything and I’m proud of it. 🌟❤️♾

Hi Shivani, I'm so glad that you have shared your experiences. I relate to you so so much. I moved to Mumbai in 2017 to also begin a career in the Indian film industry. I lived there for 3 years and honestly was the best 3 years of life!! I'm from South Africa and I'm 3rd generation so when i moved I knew absolutely no one. I'm also super super family oriented but being back home this year in South Africa due to corona virus made me realise just how much I need to be in Mumbai to grow. Sometimes you've got to make sacrifices and make the most of what you have. But I'm glad that everything worked out for you! and thank you for sharing once again :)

I know...I can feel all that u said.... I m a single child... luckily I got a big joint family.... really big...from both my mom's side n dad's side too.... I do have a lot of family members living in US like in new Jersey , Beverly hills California..... Arizona Chicago etc. N u r absolutely right about that difference part.... Some cousins from my mom's side can't speak Hindi ..n that's why they don't feel any connect with their grandparents well one girl is there...well aware of her culture n everything.... But they are all kinda separated. To be honest I don't feel any connect with my very own masi living in Arizona. But on the other hand my dad's side of family are like...we can't live without each other no matter what ... finally after 10yrs of living in US my dad's cousin or chote chacha moved back to India sacrificing all the perks n enjoyment...just for us...for our family.... We travel world together....but can't live anywhere else.... We are still able to catch up on the difference between cities.... But country noooo...... 🤣🤣
