So you cook the food yourself here? Or do you get to choose? Interesting!

Cook by yourself is actually quite common for Asian BBQ.
Sometimes the waiter will come and help. But most of the time I'm on my own :)

You will be fine not knowing Chinese in most big cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Google translate also comes in handy sometimes.
I honestly never had to look for resource to learn Chinese. It's my first language so I grew up "learning it".

DS Travel well i mean, i dont want to offend anyone! I just want to know if theres any customs i should follow😌 for example, in Thailand, i first learned to greet people with my hands at my forehead, to show respect. An american style handshake is offensive in their culture technically

Oh, got it. No worries. Chinese don't really have much customs and they are very forgiving to foreigners, so no worry there.
