I played ice hockey in Shanghai for 2 years semi-professionally and you know I spoke the language and everything and when I extremely happy somedays and extremely depressed somedays. China is a very interesting place and one word that describes China perfectly is 矛盾 I leave it to you guys to research and explore the philosophy behind that Chinese character.
you say 矛盾 in chinese is 阴阳
contradiction or dilema or two-sides or ?
@@zim2023Dwl go ask a chinese friend have a conversation about it. :)
The alleyways of Shanghai are so beautiful. It looks like a fun city
Great job man exactly the content i was looking for
Wow really cool !!
FYI, "X" in chinese pinyin is pronounced "sh", not "ch". The place you visited, Xintiandi, therefore is called "Shin Tee-en Dee". It means New World, a very popular spot to hang out for tourists and locals alike.
Well, technically it's not pronounced as "sh" nor "ch", it's just more similar to "sh". I don't think there's such a "X" pronunciation in english. So new stuff to learn. :)
You can pronounce it as "Thin“
Everyone walking around drinking out on the street 😮
Welcome to the freedom
because no one commit a crime after alcohol
Yes.. i am from the eu. but i live in wuhan.. after work i drink my beer way to home. walking and drinking..sitting on a bench relaxing and after that in the evening i am going to a club or a bar..lots of westerner meets at a bar..enjoy dance drink..and late at night we go home..so freely.. just don`t drive after drink.. drug and using gun is a big trouble in China. even do not think about it.
@@ozanbasaran9671 In China, drugs and firearms may put you in prison or even face the death penalty!
Xin-tian-di: pronounciation is: Shin-Tee-an di, Xin is new, Tian is sky, di is ground, basically it means new world, new area.
Man it’s poppin out there ⚡️
So different from what CNN and BBC showed. Dude, you have a different camera?
Western media also say that China has committed genocide, but Muslims are the ethnic group with the largest population growth.😂
It is much safer spewing fake news about China than spewing fake news about Dominion Voting Machines company.
China observer on RUclips is depressing.
Great video..keep going. subscribed.
@Sly, it's LED lights. Almost no one make neon lights now a day.
Thx for the video! I've never been to Xintiandi in the evening. 😀
some people say Beijing is good because Beijing is really really big, you can find everything here, but you need to travel the whole of Beijing city to find it, or you can find a friend to take you to play.
Yeah, Beijing is really big. A side effect of living in Beijing is ... when you go to other cities, you feel living in a box.....
@serriajohn Then I am gonna check out Xiongan. It is not far from Daxing Airport.
beijing is shit lol
Futuristic city Dream city wishes the US had such a City.
The closest in the US would be NYC.

Great vid! What visa did you get to stay there so long?
Damn, i got dizzy just by looking at how crowded it is 😨. Maybe I'm too old for that 😅😂
Yes grandpa.
Thank you for your videos, and thank you for your share, I have never seen that 😀 😊 😄 ☺️
It looks very nice...
im heading out to shanghi in a few months. where in shanghi is this?
Xintiandi is located at No.333 Huaihai Middle Road, Huangpu District
@CiaoChaos thank you. This place was a lot of fun
I know this area. I had Italian food there before, though it wasn't as good as that Alimentari restaurant I told you about
Good video man from nyc
Nice vlog, what do you film these with?
Very nice and friendly
Girls out and about on the street enjoying themselves in the middle of the night.
Drinking in public is legal in China
There aren't any fat people, they must be starving. We are so well fed in comparison because we've democracy
I seen one in a Cafe to left. But nothing wrong with overweight.
Because fat guys r not willing to go out at night, they’re just staying home drinking cola and play some video games , jerk off and sleep.
China has 3D display billboard in most of the big cities. There should be one in Shanghai although I have no idea where.
Outside the shopping mall on the mall
Thank you for sharing!
Better than any US city! Definitely!
Chinese are nice and shy.

Shanghai looks fun!
Yep, this is Shanghai's Xintiandi. One of the best place to hangout along with Pudong, Nanjing Rd, the bund, and with less popular but really good area like Huahai Rd, Xujiahui
He's also in Huangpu Xuhui area along the Julu Rd strip and Changle Road. I live in this area. Surprised he didn't catch me walking my dogs :)
Thanks
Shanghai is the best city in China~~~~
NOPE
no Hangzhou is the best
as a Chinese ,i dont think sooo😂
with all due respect my hometown is better hehe
NO.Many chinese people don't like Shanghai. China has so much suitable city for living in, such as suzhou, hangzhou, chengdu, kunming, nanning, etc, etc, on the other side of the life much better than Shanghai, Shanghai is just a developed economy prosperity, but life's not as good as those cities.
I think the person at around 11:06 was saying “买你吃饭” not “money” which means buy you food/dinner 😂😂

It’s legal to drink and walk in public 😊
Yes, this is the democratic freedom of the Chinese people.
The problem is that if caught by a US police you may not see the next sun rise LOL
@kianasu5737 I have no problem with that. But it’s illegal in most of the western countries like UK US AUS NZ on and on and on……. That’s why the vloger pointed it out.
@@tristans7153 you can drink in public in the UK, but not in Canada, US. I don't know about Australia and NZ
In the United States, if you drink on the road and are a black person Is there a risk of being shot?
What a pity, you can't find a man with long braids, and there is no homeless along the street conner. never get a chance to hear a gunshot til old to die here, dont care which block is safe or dangerous. As long as my legs don't hurt, there are too many There are many places to find new things to play. u never know that there are already many foreigners living comfortably here, they dont tell otherbody.

Many people want to know if there is discrimination against black people? China is Kobe's second hometown, and China loves him so much because his spirit is very consistent with China's diligence. In recent years, many black people in China have disrupted order and carried out violent attacks, which has led many Chinese people to have a tendency to dislike black people. If you create your own value to know yourself, we are all under the same sky, as a family, otherwise it will go the other way.
Some Chinese are racist to black people cause they think they are lazier and more criminal. As long as he's fine, he's fine.

Hell yeah amigo! Looks like you’re having a great adventure. I’ve been wandering around asia for a pretty long time now. Fucking love it here. I know this is a huge generalization but Asian people make really nice societies. Polite, safe, innovative, affordable, etc. I’ve been meaning to go back to the states for months now but just can’t muster up the will to leave.

I guess its safe for black tourists in China. I thought South Korea was the place i wanted to visit the most, but China might be it.
Why not visit both? Though comparing SK to China is not really fair since SK is only the size of a small province in China. The diversity in China is incomparable. Though as a cities, Shanghai does look more impressive than Seoul.

The place you were looking for is called Xintiandi (pronounced shin tien de)... Btw, drink responsibly and Shanghai nightlife have never been said together in the history of Shanghai. LOL.
what area is this where all the bars are?
