    Again Robert, you answered questions we didn't think to ask, didn't know enough to ask.
    You are a very good teacher. You start with an outline, give the data, then a summary.
    Thank You !!

    I have a beautiful lavender kilim style rug in my KITCHEN and it still looks new. Even after 10 years. Wool is naturally resistant to dirt and stains. I do have wood floors with house on a crawl space so no moisture problems.
    I love wool rugs!

    I love wool carpet. My grandparents had wool for 45 yrs I believe, if not then 30. It never wore down. Ugly color being they put it in in the 40s or 50s. I remember the upstairs wool carpet, it became a little faded but it was a light pink with silverish looking ribbon throughout and random flowers also. Ihave always wanted it wall to wall. After you mentioning the mold and moisture problem due to lack of circulation from concrete foundation, I have to say no now. Ugh. Our back room has the mold smell when we’ve had a lot of rain but dissipates quickly. I’m not taking the chance.

    I don't sell to much wool, mostly because its out of the price range of the majority of my clients.
    A common misconception that wool is not that stain resistant.
    It actually is, its naturally hydrophobic.
    I normally tell people, "Wool doesn't like to stain, but when it does accept it, it doesn't like to let it go."
    But if you do a good job at taking care of it, a wool will last for decades.
    Great video.

    If wool can get mold if damp, how do you clean wall to wall wool carpet? Wouldn’t steam cleaning leave it damp?

    Thank you for the info! Question tho...I just unrolled my new wool rug, but it has a smell, like a barn. How do I keep the smell away? 🤗

    • @RemodelWithRobert
      @RemodelWithRobert  Год назад +1

      I would expect any strong smell to dissipate on its own as it breathes in the new space. Other than it getting really wet, it shouldn't put off any strong odors for very long.

    What carpet is the easiest to clean. Regular soil from light traffic in one room with maybe a rare pet stain here or there. Nylon? Wool? SmartStrand? I want a very dense plush white carpet.

      I think the smartstrand forever clean is the easiest product to clean. I put a snow white colored smartstrand carpet in for some friends years ago and they have loved it. Thank you for the super like!

    I think I just ruined my wool rug. I flooded it with the hose and now it’s going to rain and no place to put it under a roof. What is best way to dry this rug in January?

    • @RemodelWithRobert
      @RemodelWithRobert  Год назад +3

      Hanging the rug and getting some air flow on it with some fans would be good though if the rug is large and wet then it is going to be very heavy. You also would need to have some large and strong enough fans on hand, which most people dont. You may want to reach out to a professional rug cleaner to try and treat it.

      You gave a dislike because 10 mins of information is too much for you to cope with - you should be more concerned about your inability to pay attention to anything longer than 5 mins.
