Did you notice that when Louis was speechifying about all the memories bubbling up, there was a montage of recovered memories that included Lestat dropping Louis? I'm telling you, we're going to learn that didn't happen quite the same way we thought.
It's scary the levels of emotions this series forces me to feel no matter how many times I rewatch an episode. Even watching your reaction to watching the episode brings tears to my eyes. It does feel ridiculous to be bawling my eyes out over a TV show, but in a way, it's also really beautiful to be so deeply moved by this masterpiece. Never did I imagine that I would ever see an adaptation of Anne's books capture everything that made me fall in love with her as a writer, but here we are, blessed with this gorgeous feast for our senses. The writing is unmatched as always. What I wouldn't give to be able to buy some printed screenplays just to pore over and scribble on. About the episode, I am so titillated about what Armand is trying to get out of this interview. Like, what the hell are they trying to lead Daniel to publish, and why? This is obviously where the show diverges from the books. It's brilliant that they've done this. It gives the readers a mystery to crack, and giving Daniel more age, backstory, agency, determination.... It's awesome. Turns Daniel, who was basically a side character love interest, (despite the fact that he'd been the one who'd accidentally started the whole series) into a deeply complex and powerful character. I really love this Daniel. I can't wait to see what he does.
I always found it weird that Daniel's a side character when he sets the whole shit show in motion and walks away with the hottest dude that's also the world's oldest sugar daddy that happens to look like a toddler? I mean, not bad for a "nobody", he's literally "everything". The writers have my respect for giving the fella his flowers.

I’ve been waiting on you All day .. And I love the pettiness between Ahmad and Daniel, too funny. And again Louis promise her it’s just YOU and ME from now on, when Lestat is still there, I understand her frustration.
So absolutely thrilled that there IWTV team recognized your fabulous work. I’m really looking forward to watching this season and checking out your comments along the way. I was surprised they put as much time into this part of the story as they did. It’s a relatively undiscussed portion falling between Lestat’s death and the arrival in Paris. I liked what they did here, even if I’m personally itching for more Daniel/Armand snippiness. I might mourn the Devil’s Minion storyline, but both these actors are so great in delivering this adaptation.
I was completely overwhelmed by this wonderful performance in episode 1 of season 2. OMG, everyone acted so well, so amazing. I like the scenes where Daniel mocks Armand as well as the way he talks to Real Rashid. It's so interesting. In this episode, I felt like the plot was very slow. Maybe it's a stepping stone for future episodes. It feels like it's the calm before the storm. Oh, I'm looking forward to the exciting details in future episodes. I’m so happy that they’re integrating more and more lore this season. Like the whole “how a vampire feels when drinking the blood “ is one of the most trilling and alien concepts of the book. I was wondering how they were going to show that, Lestat mentions it in passing to Claudia “eating syrup while riding on the wind” and there the scene at the beginning of episode 7 where Lestat seems to be in a trance while contemplating the blood. With Louis the “vegan” and Claudia the teenage vampire I’m not sure that the audience who is not familiar with the books understand how blood is part of the culture, how vampire are obsessed , bit like foodies can be … but with people… how much normal Lestat attitude is compared to most vampire , even with the big change to the morals of character with season 1. And now in episode 8, they talking about how it affects them drinking the blood of desperate people. I think the scene where Dreamstat is drinking from Louis and Louis is screaming in pain is a manifestation what Louis is feeling inside, because Vampire can make their victims feel whatever they want and Dreamstat is Louis…I’m sure that with meeting the Théâtre des Vampires, will see more of the culture and the lore, I’m so excited this season is gonna be epic!!!👀🔥🔥

Jacob sits cross legged on the ground, Sam and Delainey are sitting in front of Rolin's desk (with perfect posture; Jacob resting his back against Sam's chair). Rolin and Hannah are sitting in swivel chairs either side of the monitor. Assad is perching on a low filing cabinet and Eric is sitting off to the side eating his lunch and observing. Assad totally went to the office next door to fetch a rolling chair for himself but immediately gave it Eric when he came in. This is the only explanation.
Is the blood not able to sustain vampires because the people it’s taken from are malnourished literally and spiritually? Does this or the practice of feeding on the dead yield zombie vampires?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I’ve been very torn on the groan. Half of me says “it’s purely thematic; a swaying building means the characters and audience that they are not on stable ground. It adds an environmental level of uncertainty and eerieness.” But then the other half of me says “it’s something more.” I don’t think it’s Akasha just because if it was Akasha, that means (to me) Armand is keeping watch over her or at the very least knows about her & I think it’s a huge part of the Armand/Marius/Lestat dynamic that Marius never told Armand the truth about Those Who Must Be Kept but he told Lestat immediately. But who knows!
How can you get any sense of what you're watching if 40% of the time you're mugging for the camera over actually watching the screen, and another 40% of the time you've paused to go on a 10 minute yap after watching a minute thirty of the episode?

I was surprised they put as much time into this part of the story as they did. It’s a relatively undiscussed portion falling between Lestat’s death and the arrival in Paris. I liked what they did here, even if I’m personally itching for more Daniel/Armand snippiness. I might mourn the Devil’s Minion storyline, but both these actors are so great in delivering this adaptation.
This is the only show I’ve ever watched where I immediately sat down and restarted the whole thing because I couldn’t comprehend it being over

I was completely overwhelmed by this wonderful performance in episode 1 of season 2. OMG, everyone acted so well, so amazing. I like the scenes where Daniel mocks Armand as well as the way he talks to Real Rashid. It's so interesting.
In this episode, I felt like the plot was very slow. Maybe it's a stepping stone for future episodes. It feels like it's the calm before the storm. Oh, I'm looking forward to the exciting details in future episodes.

I’m so happy that they’re integrating more and more lore this season. Like the whole “how a vampire feels when drinking the blood “ is one of the most trilling and alien concepts of the book. I was wondering how they were going to show that, Lestat mentions it in passing to Claudia “eating syrup while riding on the wind” and there the scene at the beginning of episode 7 where Lestat seems to be in a trance while contemplating the blood. With Louis the “vegan” and Claudia the teenage vampire I’m not sure that the audience who is not familiar with the books understand how blood is part of the culture, how vampire are obsessed , bit like foodies can be … but with people… how much normal Lestat attitude is compared to most vampire , even with the big change to the morals of character with season 1. And now in episode 8, they talking about how it affects them drinking the blood of desperate people. I think the scene where Dreamstat is drinking from Louis and Louis is screaming in pain is a manifestation what Louis is feeling inside, because Vampire can make their victims feel whatever they want and Dreamstat is Louis…I’m sure that with meeting the Théâtre des Vampires, will see more of the culture and the lore, I’m so excited this season is gonna be epic!!!👀🔥🔥

- Daciana was cool and I like this rendition of Claudia meeting her but will miss out on Lestat meeting her a bit!

- Lestat’s presence was ghostly and beautiful and he looked so angelic at the end.
- Claudia smoking the cig and shoving the boy and then being an optimistic sweetie pie was such lovely I love seeing her duality.

@@AutumnBottomBrown The only possible explanation for the relatively low view count despite the illustrious viewership is the main cast hang out in Rolin's office at lunch time to watch your latest offering to the IWTV fandom together. Jacob sits cross legged on the ground, Sam and Delainey are sitting in front of Rolin's desk (with perfect posture; Jacob resting his back against Sam's chair). Rolin and Hannah are sitting in swivel chairs either side of the monitor. Assad is perching on a low filing cabinet and Eric is sitting off to the side eating his lunch and observing. Assad totally went to the office next door to fetch a rolling chair for himself but immediately gave it Eric when he came in. This is the only explanation.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I’ve been very torn on the groan. Half of me says “it’s purely thematic; a swaying building means the characters and audience that they are not on stable ground. It adds an environmental level of uncertainty and eerieness.” But then the other half of me says “it’s something more.” I don’t think it’s Akasha just because if it was Akasha, that means (to me) Armand is keeping watch over her or at the very least knows about her & I think it’s a huge part of the Armand/Marius/Lestat dynamic that Marius never told Armand the truth about Those Who Must Be Kept but he told Lestat immediately. But who knows!

I am still iffy about Lestat, I still dislike his portrayal in the show. I still think Tom's portrayal wins, and Anne Rice had thought so too. And there's a quote and video about her saying that, so her opinion matters because she wrote the books. But maybe he will win me over in season two, maybe. But so far, Armand, Claudia are my favorite.❤
