Happy Father's Day D"Jeeco. The very best gorilla dad. Those adorable rascals really love using him as the mountain that he is. You can see the difference of how the boys interact with their father versus their mothers. It crosses the species that boys naturally will rough house with their fathers and be gentler with their mothers. They are so much like us. Watching this family brings me so much joy.
The most daunting and responsible task in the world is to be a father of gorilla babies. D'Jeeco you rocks. ❤❤❤

Happy Father's Day to D'jeeco's dearly departed father as well, who Sired (19) offspring, many just as amazing as D'jeeco, and living in zoos around the world. I've loved D'jeeco for 20+ years, and he turned out to be an amazing silverback father and mate. Jabali and Ringo are so fortunate to have him and come from this amazing gorilla dynasty.
