i just took an outlook exam with 30 questions, and this video helped a lot! i would say all of the material that was covered here, was tested in the exam. i did pretty well for someone who has used outlook only once! thanks for the video!
Just some advice for anyone planning on doing the Outlook Certification test: There will be times when they ask you to edit a file from your "drafts" folder. I suggest going on outlook before the test to practicing doing this. If you don't do it correctly many of the editing tabs will be missing. my test required me to "Pop out" the draft (I didn't know what that meant). Outlook is very straight forward. The mistakes you'll make will usually be silly goof ups. Amir's videos are great for recaps and I recommend watching this vid before the exam. If you watched this video and cant figure something out, just use logic or "skip" the question. Its an easy test if your prepard(ish) ;D
You did a great job teaching a lot of detailed information with many steps! Organized it perfectly in a way that made sense and talked and moved on the screen slowly enough to follow you! Thanks so much! This was the best outlook 2010 exam prep tutorial I found for an absolute beginner!!!
Hello Mr. parmar, I am also preparing for my upcoming test for Outlook 2010. I am watching your video and I hope that my school's exam will be about the same as what you are covering here. Thank you, for posting this here in RUclips. I appreciate it very much.
Good video. I did the Outlook test and they asked about changing styles in a message into Line DIstinctive, on this one i failed because i did not know about this. It's better to check the content of everything before you do the test.
Thank you for offering this tutorial. It is a treasure as I'm looking for work and have to keep up with updated versions of Microsoft Office plus need to have an idea about what it is they want.
***** Yes you can Export her Contacts as a CSV file and Import it in your Outlook. in Outlook 2010 and 2013 click on File - Import/Export and follow the options. On her Outlook choose "Export to a file" and click Next, now choose "Comma Separated Values" click Next and click on "Contacts" and click Next, now choose where to save the file, best to save it on Desktop. Click and Next and Finish it. On your Outlook after File - Import/Export choose "Import from a another Program or file" click Next and it will have "comma separated values" highlighted, click Next. now Browse to the File for contacts. Look below for options regarding "duplicates" and what to do with them. Click next and finish it up.
Thank for this video! Very helpful and insightful! Yes, #NicoleMK, Thank you bc that is what I am about to take lol. Yet, this video has taught and answered so many questions Ive bn pondering from work and wondering how the heck are my constituents are doing and creating what they do in OutLook.
I'm going for a test on Outlook 2007 (along w/ Word, Excel). I'm watching this video b/c I didn't see an exam prep video for Outlook 2007. They look pretty different.
thaddeus171 hi sorry for the delayed response. I do have tutorials for Outlook 2007 if you watch the 2 parts it will prepare you for the tests Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 pt1
+Forever M just make sure to do the steps in Outlook, so you know where things are. The material covered in this video will give you good results in employment based tests and read the questions very carefully. All the best.
Hi Amir, Just started watching your tutorials. I just got MS Office 365 what a shock from 2003. Since I still use my old PC do you have any tutorials on Access 2003 and what is the equivalent on 365. Loved the fill forms tutorial.
Here is the link to Access 2003 playlist ruclips.net/p/PLcmYWY91gQNebBu9x8NaxKtEEgfAVYSQc and you can watch Office 2013 videos, they are same as Office 365.
Which Office 365 version do you have? Office 365 Home & Personal has Access and all others. But Office 365 Small Business does not have it. but Office 365 Small Business Premium has Access and others.
Hi,this is a very helpful video. But i wonder when you said that in 2013 the navigation pane just has symbols rather then titles. We can change the navigation view in Navigation options by clicking on ... and then checking ''Compact Navigation''. It can be changed to Title or Symbols.
+dar gohar Thanks for the info, had not bothered to check out the "Navigation options." Just tried it on my Outlook 2016, it puts the Navigation in big words on the Bottom going Horizontal.
Sindre Dahl I think I have not talked about it in this video. when you go to create a New Meeting appointment, you can add the Room info (or complete address) in the Location. It will remember the location for next time and you can choose from the drop down button. Hope this helps.
I just purchased Office 2013, and have been studying the Microsoft study guides for the MOS exam. The one part I'm struggling with is assigning categories. First question - has anyone had a question regarding categories? Second question - the instructions in the book are, "In any mail or contact folder, on the Categorize menu, in the Tags group on the Home tab, click the category you want." However, the 'Tags' group does not hae a Categorize menu or button or anything. Has this functionality moved?
+Joetta Fort Which version do you have, 2010 or 2013? I have 2013 and in the Home tab there is Tag grouping that has Category, Unread/read & Follow Up buttons. Something might have happened to your tabs. go to File - Options - Customize ribbon and use the Reset button.
+Amir Parmar I have 2013, and the Tags group only has Unread/Read and a Follow Up flag. There is an arrow at the Follow Up flag, but that drop down only says 'Flag Message'. I tried your suggestion but nothing changed. Have you heard of a categorization question on the Outlook test?
+Joetta Fort I think they might as categorization question, but it is very simple. It could also be related to Tasks added to a Category. If you Right click on the Email, you will see categorization option. And the exams do allow for Right clicks. You could go and add the Categorization option to the Tag group in the Home tab.
+Mazada Aloe Hi, I have no experience with MOS exams, but I have tried to cover as many topics/questions as possible. I have an exam prep for MS Word, check it out, along with the exam objective for the test, the video might help. ruclips.net/p/PLcmYWY91gQNeKyMX7aeS8d3tCayO9SuoK all the best.
Really informative Amir....but can you tell me exactly where the 30 trial for Outlook can be downloaded? I went to Microsoft.com and could not find it!
Just took the test...4platforms were tested.....results were all above 70% and Word was my highest..93%...thank you Amir!! Your videos are amazing and you are the perfect teacher!
Hi, many thanks for the video, I have an issue which is really not easy for me, I need to transfare all my emails from Windows Live Mail to Outlook 2016... I'm following the steps to import files from Windows live mail, but when I put the folder for the Outlook, it sees the folder empty!!! while it contains all my emails from windows life mail...Hope you can help me...Many thanksKhaled
go to FILE - OPTIONS. Now click on MAIL, on the Right side look for "Stationary and Fonts". Here you can change some fonts sizes. How about changing the Screen Resolution on your computer? This will make everything in your computer look big, all programs with have bigger fonts sizes. Right Click on Desktop and go to Properties and look for Screen Resolution, change the number to a smaller one. hope this helps.
Right click is not always permissible and time could be wasted looking for the alternative way especially if it is another Word version you are not used to.
Julia Yaghnam When you click on File go to Account Settings. And in the windows click on NEW and follow the instructions. It might configure everything thing for you. If not, you can watch the part 1 of my Outlook video ruclips.net/video/4loLpn3zWjk/видео.html
Hi Amir I have a question because my teachers always said that if you right click u dnt get full credit so is that really true because you mentioned right clicking alot
Nina feliciano I am not sure about Right click reducing the overall score, your teacher may know something, but I think some test software are different. some take time into account, some even take how many tries you take to answer, but some don't. My suggestion to everyone is to know where the Buttons are in the Ribbons and if you don't know where they are only than try Right click. Hope this helps. With ProveIt I have not heard anyone mention that Right click reduced their score.
The video is educational, but it is annoying in one respect: his voice keeps alternating from normal speaking volume to a whisper and back to normal speaking volume. In a video this long, it gets annoying.

+Temmie What do you mean by edit a file? Drafts folder contains draft emails, are you referring to editing a drafted email or a file on the computer?
Thank you Amir. Just got 100% on my Word and Excel test because of your videos.
This video helped me crack the test. It covered everything. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work.
