We're in Kyoto! Join us as we try some very famous Kyoto mochi, explore Nanzen-ji temple and go to a beautiful autumn light up event at Eikan-do to see the autumn leaves illuminated!
Japan is amazing but there's one thing that I just can't get used to - and I don't know if I ever will! Lining up is so stock-standard in Japan, sometimes it seems they don't even bat an eyelid when they see a one-hour long wait for a restaurant or an event! But I do appreciate how organised the lines are, and commend the queuers on their impeccable ability to respect the line and be patient. I don't see myself reaching that level of enlightenment in this lifetime...

Ohhh nooo thats really put me off my autumn night temple plan this Nov :( :( :( :( but I think there are a cpl more a further out that light up too...ok deeper research for me haha

Kifune shrine also offers autumn night light up event and because it is a bit further out, there’s a little less people than in central Kyoto 🙂
