I praise you Lord Jesus even in my darkest hours! There is power in your name. I’m thankful for you Jesus! Even though I want to give up and I’m overwhelmed. I will keep faith. Jesus you give me strength to keep going. Lord please hear my prayers. My sons require so much from me because they are autistic and have problems communicating. Due to them having so many issues in school, I’m now homeschooling them. I’m a single mother. These past two years since covid have been hard on me. I lost my job at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I have heart disease and I suffer from lupus that’s the major reason why I declined the vaccine. I’m waitressing and I’m grateful but I’m not making enough to make ends meet. Bills are piling up. I’m constantly struggling putting groceries on the table. I feel like a failure. Every month is a struggle, and now that I’m homeschooling my sons my schedule is limited. I’m so discouraged and ashamed. But God is my strength!!! I get harassed and bullied on this app for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers but prayers are all I NEED. As christians we should have compassion towards one another so please be kind I’m already feeling down. BUT! Even as I struggle! I keep faith in God. He is the God of possible! Paul also states the office of a deacon must be a husband of one wife but we see in Romans 16 he introduces Phoebe which was a deacon. Not everything in the Bible was Gods law, quite a bit of it was just traditional or the laws of that region and era. I find it hard to believe you’ve asked the Holy Spirit to help you rightly divide you don’t know the context of the scriptures you’re quoting or who was actually speaking.
Can someone explain to me how a church leader woman can be a bishop? My Bible tells me in 1 Timothy 3:2 That a church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. (I'm not saying women can't be pastors) He must be faithful to his wife.(NLT) I am focusing on where it says HE MUST BE FAITHFUL TO HIS WIFE. So how can a church leader that is a woman have a wife if she's a woman unless she's living another lifestyle. I'm just saying what the Scripture says.
Because a bishop is a man made title. It’s not a part of the 5 fold ministries of God. Also Paul stated that because men had multiple wives back then but if someone wanted to be a bishop they could only have one wife. Women weren’t permitted to do a lot in the Bible even choose their own husband. But that wasn’t Gods law, it was the laws of that era/region. Women were stoned or killed if they were accused of adultery or couldn’t bare children, neither were they allowed to own property. They were considered Chattel, to be owned like farm animals.
Exegete the word man in that scripture, it means anyone or whoever. Not that it matters because it’s an administrative title like a manager, not part of the 5 fold ministry. It’s one that oversees the church but present day Bishops are pastors of other pastors. The book of Timothy, Titus and Corinthians are letters from Paul concerning the church’s in Corinth. There are no scriptures of God speaking about a Bishop, or withholding any ministerial position from women.
