So here´s the ACTUAL video!
Sorry my Brain is not back at it quite yet
Enjoy this one! (hopefully youtube will show this to y´all)
Get well soon mr rudi!
wow! just wow! this was so amazing! I really love the longer videos!
it makes a lot of sense for lions to be in an amphitheatre, really reminds me of the barbary lions they used in gladiator fights in the roman colosseums!
I've literally watched 5 episodes of this series in a row cuz it's so addicting
This is the closest I've come to watching a video "live" on RUclips. I'm a big fan of your builds, man. I'm loving Zoo Sicily.
:)
Wow, didn't expect to see Lions so soon in the series! :O
I might be wrong about this but I think that making an african savanna behind the amphitheatre would make sense since Cebras, Giraffes, Ostriches, Rinos, Buffalos & Lions are the most known african animals so having the amphitheater and the savanna would fit together. The alternative I can think of is a Monkey House/Temple where the Bonobos, Chimpanzees, Mandrils, Gorilas and all the apes animals would live each in their personal habitat and obviously have those who can share a habitat together in the same enclosure.
Fantastic video as always Rudi, can't wait until next episode! :D
Gooood suggestions
This is absolutely amazing, it does look exactly like a reconstructed ruin. Using the aquatic fence as an anti-climbing/jumping barrier in front of the guests' viewing area is genius. I'm also absolutely in love with the plant palette for this series. For the animals, I know the game has the West African Lion, but I like to imagine there's some education for the guests about the extinct Barbary Lion, since it's the species the Greeks and Romans would have encountered the most!
All right, awesome! It's great you addressed the fact that this amphitheatre would be a replica, and not an actual monument. It does like it's adapted to a zoo habitat. Though realistically there must be more shade along the steps for the lions to prevent them sleeping down in their den during those hot and dry Mediterranean summers.
I am not entirely convinced on some of the plants you're using; I do think the barrel and organ pipe cacti work as stand-ins for similar looking succulents but funnily enough it's the prickly pear cactus that's most widespread throughout urban areas, even though it's an non-native invasive species!
Same goes for the so-called century plant (Agave americana) which was recreated by Vigoga and shared on the workshop. On BroNation he shares his progress on Spain-based, hyperrealistic zoo builds. I recommend you take a look!
Close to this area, if you want to make a little exhibition on animals used by the Romans as entertainment, you could include leopards, bears, hippos, elephants and giraffe. Even though none of these would have roamed amphitheaters (which are rather artistic endeavours rather than the massive colloseums frequented by gladiators and citizens hungry for violence), I appreciate the message you are going for!
The theatre of Epidauros in Greece is probably the best preserved amphitheater in the world and I’d highly recommend checking it out
Since it's a faux amphitheater, turning the grassy areas into planter boxes would probably be ok. I also bet you could make a cool water feature with the pottery and water jet tools and have a little waterfall thing going from top to bottom as a way to break up space!
I love so much your work Rudi!
The teatre Is perfect for the Lions and for this scenario!
This location remember me Giardini Naxos or Piazza Armerina!
Bravo!
Amazing build! I have an idea for a series for you -
You should take fan submitted habitats and make them yourself/upgrade them. It would be cool to see ideas from average builders and then your take on it and the full potential with a pro builder
This is breathtaking!! Amazing! 😍
I'm an archaeologist and the way I SCREAMED when I saw the thumbnail and title 🤩🤩🤩
:)
The jumps 😆 what are they lions or rabbits 😆
You are so right about the jaw dropping craftsmanship they had back when they made structures like these! And this PZ is an incredible nod to that, it looks so freaking good and is spot on!
It is soooo beautiful! I can't tell how pretty it is! Love it!
This habitat again is jawdroppingly amazing! this will be the most beautiful zoo you've created do far 🤩👏❤️
Get well soon, best wishes as well to your family
it is such a good idea to build it! I am doing one myself and I must say, I DO STRUGGLE! :D about acustics its all true, I have given tours in Turkey and i stand at the bottom of the amphiteatre and spoke with my normal voice and my tourist groups heard everything on top of the stairs, that is so amazing
This looks so cool. Great idea and excellent made.
For me I don't really want to see the back stage. There is other channels where we can watch that. I just like what you do.
Also get well soon.
One of my favourite builds I've ever seen! Amazing 👏
This is such an amazing idea for a habitat!!! Super cool build, this has to be your best series yet!
Thank you. Giving it everything to make it as best as I can :)
Awesome build!
I love the walls, and it looks verry impressiv!
BEAUTIFUL habitat! I was thinking it was going to be more a guest amphitheater and educator spot looking into the central area for the lions, but this is remarkable!
Super ! Ja wenn man die Bedienung richtig beherrscht und etwas kreativ ist, kann man wirklich einiges machen! Genau wie mit Photoshop... 😁
It looks amazing! I love how it tured out - it looks very naturally fitted into the hill - just as it should be.
Also, just an idea if you'll be interesed - I'm not sure if it would fit in with the overall esthetics of the zoo, but as an idea to keep in mind. In a lot of these old ruins you will often find interpolations - modern structures (mosty glass and metal) which at the same time support the fragile architecture, make sure the visitors do not directly disturb it and make a clear distincion between old and new. It's not everyone's cup of tea and it there is something to be said about its overuse - but it is quite common and would add a touch of realism :)
So creative. I love how you always create new and different things, very refreshing.
Amazing build!...really!...fits the theme and gives something to build around!...thanks for sharing and keep it up mr rudi!
thank you =)
This is absolutely stunning - you just keep getting better. This whole project is just beautiful
It looks really cool!
Amazing!! Don't know if you've ever had this on German tv, but there was this game show called "Fort Boyard", where people had to do crazy assignments, and in the middle of the fort there were tigers walking around! Of course ethically this was not a good deal for the tigers, but it could be a great inspiration if you're planning to add tigers.
it amazes me how grand your zoos can be!
Absoloutely brilliant. What an amazing build!
Freaking AMAZING build, Rudi. As always
Thank you :)
It turned out really nicely! The middle raised rock/plateau thingy reminds me of the movie Madagascar (which have horrible representation of that country, btw) with Alex the Lion giving kind of shows in the Brooklyn Zoo
ohhh I remember that scene yes!
Wonderful build❤️
Thank you :)
ive started a drinking game, every time rudi says "have a good time" I take a shot. I'm on the floor now.
Have a nice evening then!
Wow what an impressive build! This really suits the Sicily theme
Tha ns :)
What a great idea for an habitat, love it!
First time commenting, I
am just getting to grips with PZ after 200 hours of gaming so far, got to say this is just awesome, top work Rudi
This Build is So Gorgeous!!!
This is so cool!
Just discovered your channel! Your builds are amazing!
thanks and welcome :-) Happy Binging haha!
Looks great, I love these details making whole ruins so ancient!
Also, looking at these jumping lions I think, that would be better if there will be climbing animation. Though most of animations from Frontier is beautiful, this one can looks very silly sometimes.
Yeah. I might actually use some logs to make them go upwars
absolutely genius build
Thanks:)
Who would have guessed that you would be doing lions in there
Yeah it made sense haha
Great build, Rudi....as usual. Little surprised you did lions for the amphitheatre instead of doing like a mini colosseum or a similar arena for the lions.....or has that already been done quite a bit in pz?
Amazing!
Molto bello! 💖
This is absolutely ridiculous! How do you come up with these Rudi!? It's amazing 👏 😍 🙌
My brain. It does these things!
Will we be able to download this on the steamworkshop? It's lovely.
Soon yes
lets go the good video
Ich hab auch ein Amphitheater in meinem Zoo gebaut, hatte mich über ne Woche gekostet 🥵
I'm getting a mixed feeling of Roman Colosseum and Narnia, i guess that means you succeeded in this build. 👍
Well for me this amfitheatre it's not working .. as you said something about Valencia i'm from there... So for me its normal to go for a rural walking and see Rome arquitectural beautiful places... And for this project you did i see a lot of things to improve its like this is not convincing me... But idk for me its ugly not so realistic the plants un the middle of the stairs of Stone.. and that stairs are perfectly positioned the perfect stair it's what its look like an old rock not perfect alineated. I don't see realistic there and a little bit a mess. It's just my opinión. But i love this zoo so i'm going to click positively this video i like your constructions normally and i hope Next better. And recover soon :)
Hm in this case I can't really understand what you mean. The "mess" you quote is basically what makes it a ruin. The idea is not to make a "new" theatre.
And as stated in the video, there's still some cleaning to do. Maybe that's what bothers you.
@@RudiRennkamel Oh. Sometimes i don't speak clearly, my bad. What i mean it's for example the stairs instead of a simple box i would have used a fake rock because stairs are big rocks pullied by humans. And for me the plants in the middle of stairs are not cool. If i were you i would put little plants if it's the case you want to put It in the middle of the stairs. When i said mess it's like a see a lot of different objects together that for me don't fit. It's just my opinión i know old rome arquitectural are mess ahaha. Well i hope you don't hate me for this expresión haha i really Love your work. ❤️
A lion ate my brother on safari in Africa
I hope that's just you joking!
Actually thats just a theatre, not an amphitheatre
Amphitheater or Coliseum? Cuz those are different.
Definitely amphitheatre
The Roman empire would have used an wolf or an eagle just saying...
Kannst du einen neuen Franchise??
Bald
Since you're now in the business of making habitats inspired by antique architecture, wouldn't it be fun to make a Hippodrome? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippodrome Since it's a greco-roman chariot racetrack it could maybe house the prezwalskis horse, or perhaps, for the sake of the pun, some hippos?
