This is my third or 4th time watching this in 4yrs. The Carmelite Fr has a thick accent but a good command of English. He attempts to describe St Edith Stein/St Benedicta of the Cross from her childhood roots growing up in a practicing Jewish family, and skipping her turning to Atheism as a teenager, he goes right into her taking an interest in Christianity while still a student of Philosophy, but the info she was receiving mostly from Protestant views caused her to develop an Agnostic viewpoint. He did not mention that she studied St Thomas Aquinas on her own. In 18minutes however he did explain her eventual absolute belief in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
I recently saw one of the newer movie versions of the life of St Mary Magdalene, and the writers appeared to have used the human error of Pope Gregory (who had labeled her a Prostitute), to twist, deviate, slander, and attempt to negate other Sacred New Testament Scripture themselves, only it appears to be intentional on their part, as they used a combination of material from the gnostic gospels (that were rejected as inspired, by those who canonized authentic inspired New Testament Scripture.), along with their own modern day fabrications for movie scriptwriting!
Most defaming of the Eucharist were 2 scenes and storylines in the movie. The first scene was of the Jewish men of her family (not in Scripture) not using the word demons but saying there was something in her and one immediately held up what looked like a small Catholic Communion host to her forehead and as soon as it touched her forehead it began glowing in the way that lighting is sometimes used during Catholic Eucharistic Adoration on the Host. When the glowing occurred on her forehead the men started forcing her underwater practically drowning her. Shortly after she leaves and joins Jesus flipping to a conversation without any beginning because demons (which is in Holy Scripture that Jesus drove out of her) were never mentioned in this scene either, and in fact the movie denied their existence completely, but the actress Mary says to Jesus: (as if she is talking to a modern day Psychotherapist), "If there is something in me it has always been there. And the actor Jesus speaks back to her with the comforting words of a smart Psychoanalyst. The movie was a revolting garbage trap for today's Psychiatry to justify their disgustingly inferior treatment of the labeled mentally ill with torturous physical brain damaging and body organ destruction along with heinous mental harassment driving them to suicide. And very soon in the USA it will be legal for Psychiatry to use lethal injection on the mentally ill who request assisted suicide!
