I'll be showing you guys the function and features of the new PRS Mary Cries compressor and Horsemeat Overdrive pedals, and showing you a segment of an original tune i wrote inspired by these pedals! Wondering how to conjure up massive clean, rhythm, dirt, and lead tones? I'll show you how i do it in the studio!!!
What piece of gear do you want to see next on MtM???

The pedals are cool but the track is even cooler. Good work 👍🏻
Yes Sir, for sure.
I've not been playing for a few months, due to feeling like I suck (after playing for 34 years). But I gotta say, this makes me want to play. Which I'll do, as soon as we have electricity here in central Florida.
That’s the best news I can hear. I was having a really bad day with my playing the other day, so hearing that I helped pull somebody out means a lot to me! Stay safe in FL!
Stay safe in Florida, hope all goes well and your whole state gets through this.
Sick groove, brother! I'm still scraping my head offa the asphalt with this wall of tone and sound!
Hey Ben, this room you're in is really beautiful with its high ceilings and wooden frames exposed. Seems like an inspiring place to play, cheers!
It really is! Thanks so much, I love it.
Intro was the best part! 2nd section had a cool Opethy vibe so that always a good thing!
Absolutely killer track! awesome tone to Ben!
Thanks man I knew you would be the guy to do the drive into an amp with gain instead of just using it as a clean drive. Sounds amazing, and a hard to find demo from other channels.
Great work, dude! Track is sick!
Love the opening tune. It has a Ghost-like quality that I really enjoy.
Uncle Ben you sir are a fn machine on guitar. Love the channel!
Holy Moses. That transition to the heavy part gave me chills!
Love the Tack sounds amazing!!!!!
Wow love the whole tune. This needs to be put on Vinyl Ben👍
Awesome song Ben! Clean tones and leads reminds me The BEST Opeth years
Awesome track! The humanity NEEDS full version))
Cool tune. Great tones.
Gorgeous sound
Killer riffage and intro Uncle Ben 🤘. Reminded Savatage style sweet & tight power metal riffs
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Jam Ben. Thank You as always . Queensryche Vibes
What a GREAT GREAT video man! Loved it. Can you PLEASE do another video on IR? honestly, I've watched a million videos on this and I still don't quite get what it is. I realize it's a way to import some cab/speaker settings somehow, but I have no idea (despite the million videos I watched): Where do you find these IRs? Are these files? what are these IRs exactly? How do you apply or import them to your software? can you import to your amp? I can ask a few more here , but hopefully you get the gist. If you can do a video on IRs truly start from scratch, explain what it is, demonstrate where you find them, how you apply them - it will be a MAJOR MAJOR help man. Thanks for this video Ben. The Horsemeat is incredible!
Killer intro song Ben!
That was one splendid little ditty.
Sounds fantastic
Sounds wicked 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
I must concur, the track is awesome!
Fukkiiinn sikkk unc .. love your gear reviews .. I still need to get that one weird bit crusher you did review on from electro harmonix... its almost Halloween music month unc .. not sure if you have seen in the mouth of madness but the intro music would be fun lesson to learn
Someone has been listening to Opeth lately. Great one, Ben.
Nailed it!!!
eerie and dark lead! So, so nice.
Such a killer song, and damn are those tones amazing!!!
Reminds me of an AX7 riff, love it uncle Ben
Maybe I am biased because I love Opeth, but these are some of the best tones I have heard. Particularly the neck lead tone on top of the clean guitar. Just the exact tone I have in my head. I cannot decide whether it is the amp or the pedals
Thank you! Sometimes it’s a combo of the car, the driver, AND the gas in the tank!
@1:50 That reminds me of Ghost!
Nice 👍!
Mike in San Diego.🌞🎸🚀🖖
Thanks Ben!🎸🥰
Banger of an intro
Love the HM overdrive, great product for this price range. It has a real amp feel , tweakable , great tone!
The pedals sound great, my only issue is the size, aren’t they too big?? What do you think of that Unlce Ben??? Great video as always!!!!
dude your playing rocks
What a fantastic track!! 🔥 the pedals sound amazing, at least in your hands! The song reminded me of Bruce Dickinson's solo material, Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding fibes 😆
horsemeat? was brent hinds in the room?? lol. great video as always, these pedals sound awesome!
That's a can of tasty horsemeat!
I definitely got some Opeth meets Clapton vibes from the song, it sounded great! I wouldn't mind it being ten minutes longer! 😄
Nice dark track intro!!
Horsemeat with that Marshall gave me Doug Aldrich vibes. I dig!
Nice little "diddy" up front. And thanks for the ever so smart presentation of the new prs pedals. 👍🏻 Super Sound man!
And seeing your shirt made me think of a german band called HELLOWEEN I used to listen to a lot back in the day. Do you know them? Check 'em out!
If you like that is. The Keeper of the seven keys stuff was cool. And I remember that there was a very cool Live in Japan recording. Have fun. ✌🏻
I read diddy when Ben said diddy.
I'd listen to a playlist with those first 4 minutes on an album ... rewound it (yeah, I'm that old) a couple times!
That track made my hair stand up .. frigging bad ass playing and tone .
That first horsemeat riff must've been the riff of the day, I didn't think you were gonna stop. That's an issue I have that keeps me from making complete songs.
Uncle Ben + a PRS (and Horsemeat) = Monster singing tone! 👌👍
That track is incredible. Got some serious groovy Ghost-esque feel about it.
Some of the fretless bass playing was reminiscent of the "theme" to House On The Edge Of The Park.
The sequel to which needs to be finished and released, but that is a whole nother discussion.
Sick. Love that bass tone in the beginning too man! What is that?
My Spector Euro Classic, Mary cries comp, axe FX 3!
Hell yeah, thx man! Killer in the mix. Cheers
I want those 2 pedals.
Dude is that an original tune? That transition into the heavy part holy shit I wanna play that on repeat
Indeed it is
@@BenEller Awesome man you’re a beast and just an over all awesome dude. Hope one day I can play some stuff like that. Keep it up!
I just realized the guitar in the little Title Sequence is an Ibanez GRG/GSA of some sort
Interesting!
If opeth and castlevania had a radical baby, it would be that progression
Best compliment I can receive, right there
Yooo have you always had a plexi and I just missed it or was that a recent acquisition?
Getting some serious Opeth vibes from this.
Recent!!
uncle ben anyway you have tabs for this on pattern? if so I'm joining. thanks
We need a ben Eller vs bernth guitar battle
Dang that’s a NICE Prs. What model is it? ❤❤❤❤
Those dyads reminded me of the chorus in "Angry Again" by Megadeth.
So what are the settings on the Marshall ? Just curious 🤨
Noon on about everything. Mids at like 9 o clock for rhythm. Both volumes at like 9 o clock. 😅
Uncle Ben rides again.
😂 "Horsemeat" has got to be in my top 3 best pedal names ever. Number 1 on that list is a treble booster named "Trouble Booster". 😂
Hahaha that’s amazing
Are those stock pickups in that hollowbody?
Yup.
I’m waiting for the Hairy Muff overdrive to come out. 😅
I dont really know if the pedals meant anything. any descent player with a PRS and a EVH/Marshall stack is gonna sound good and Ben could make a squire sing, so those together is gonna sound fantastic even before studio mastering. You could replace the pedals with a literal brick and this would sound sick as hell.
The knobs seems to be very close to the switch
*UNCLE BEN!*
ALOHA!
Not sorry about this, but the Marshall sounds fantastic on its own.
This track is fuckin sick! Hell with the pedals! Lol!
Transcending just another gear demo track… this is a banger
Horsemeat and Layla gravy with kicked in the ass amp pants taters on the side makes for a complete and well balanced, nutritious meal.
Oh man, PRS is owning you some real nice guitars for that commercial. PRS fire your marketing official and pay Mr. Eller a ton monthly - no, serious, just do so!
Even for a GenX Fat Stepdad, the rhythm was THICCCK! Like with 23 "C" Thick!
The leads had that just right syrupy feel and took me back to a day when men were men and music was real!
I would say yup..
I'd love to hear it with non-prs just to see how good it really sounds.
The guitar really isn't making that much of a difference
Awesome! Thanks "telegram"! Looks like I just "won" a chance to get scammed by some bot who's poorly impersonating Ben Eller and everyone else on RUclips. Wow great. (No, I never replied to one of these, don't worry🤣 please people don't respond to telegram comments on YT)
Thems some hecking massive enclosures. I must say that Horsemeat kicks jackass.
🤤🤤🤤 Such wide vibrato. Oh God UNC it's so savory! 🤘#WouldOfSoundedBetterWithTheGrungePedal
I like to shake a rope!
I like this song, it sounds like Avenged Sevenfold. I like the tone of these pedals but they should of made them smaller.
So many reviews all in a span of 24 hours? Paul paid so many tubers to spread the word.
Nah man. I can only speak for myself here but I didn’t receive a dime. I NEVER do “pay to play” content, never will. If I feature it on my channel, it’s cause I USE it.
Oooo I do like me some horsemeat , Thanks IKEA, now I watch rodeos like a buffet being set up. ooh they get mad when ya ask if a palomino taste different than the paint ? I bet those Lipizzan are like the Kobe of horses!
Horses are fun to eat, till your friends see ya.
Wait what it’s an overdrive?
Mooer Yellow comp is optical and much better
Horsemeat pedal = endorsed by Alistair overreem
Sounds great, but then again that's you, not the pedals
Oh you! ❤❤❤
Prs made these pedals too big. Totally unnecessary nowadays with smaller circuits on printed circuit boards. Not enough room left on my pedal board.
PRS pushing these so hard. They sent them to everyone for demos. Was this a paid sponsor or do you just keep the pedals as compensation?
I do not take payment for ANY gear demo, ever. If I feature something on Meet the Machines it’s because I actually use it.
@@BenEller I appreciate you being transparent. Do they send them and you get to keep them?
@@OtherJesus in this case, yup. But anytime someone hits me up, my response is ALWAYS “if I dig the product and plan on actually using it I’ll tell people about it”. That’s always my MO.
@@BenEller I appreciate you.
No, no pedal is worth any hype, beautiful playing tho :)
No offense Uncle Ben, I've met dudes twice your age that don't have half of the equipment that you've got. Is your Uncle a politician? What's the deal? I spent my life savings on a couple of knock-offs and a squire that I plug into an empty soda bottle. It's not much but it works!
We need pedals that do something new. Not clones of every effect that’s been done before
Rampant consumerism at work. Re-branding of existing circuit designs. Of course nobody is forcing you to buy them. But can we just be honest and say there are far cheaper pedals that do the exact same thing?
I can tell you this intro tune would sound just as awesome using $25 or $50 pedals.
Every RUclips channel talking about it: another reason not to hear about it.
The question is, if you’re a vegan could you own the Horsemeat without violating your vegan ethics? 😂
Silly names, ordinary sounds... that's all.
I had to pause that half way through, and end the video because the tone of the PRS sucks so bad. PRS will never compare to EVH.
These pedals are ridiculously overpriced. I’m sure plenty of blues lawyers will buy them anyway but there’s so many better options.
PRS lol. Make some guitars with actual character. Let’s just do that.
I’d be surprised if they are considering how terrible their instruments are
I want those 2 pedals.
