Hello, nice video. Forgot the mainboard cover ? Or not needed for heat dissipation ?
I realized that after and re opened it so I could put that back
Hey bro been following you for a while and love the vids. Question, what do you do and what works best for you when business is slow? Thanks in advance
Visit carrier stores for referrals, sometimes I will post up in a grocery store/costco parking lot with a small sign. I usually hand out business cards, sometimes i get repairs then and there
Also: posting ads on Craigslist FB Marketplace Offerup
What could be the problem if I took it to a shop and they replaced the charging port and they are now saying it’s doing the same thing not charging . & when they checked the power coming from the new charging port it’s doing the same thing . Help!!!
It’s probably board related. I just had someone mail me a device like that. It ended up being cd3217. Once I replaced it, it started charging normally
@@repaironwheels Was it not charging when you plug it in but then charging at around 12w when you restarted it with it plugged in? That’s what mines doing, not sure if it’s hardware or software, I already restored it by doing “erase all content and settings”. It happened after I bought a magnetic cable, seemed to work fine for maybe 1 charge, I then plugged it in at 80%, left and came back a few hours later and it wasn’t charging and still at 80%.
@travispratt6327 have you replaced the port yet? Sometimes the port is fine and cd3217 is the problem
How much is it to fix port ?
I don’t like leaving pricing in comments as pricing tends to drop overtime. I don’t want somebody making a decision based on a two-year-old inaccurate number. Call text WhatsApp email Spencer@mobileiphonerepairsd.com 7609634948
so I have an iPad Air 5th gen that is currently dead, force restart does nothing. was that the reason you did this as well?
As the port requires a soldering iron, it’s unfortunately outside of most DIYers and repair shops. If you do have soldering experience, I would try and boot the device from a DC power supply which will help narrow down whether it’s a charging issue or a no power issue. If it boots off the DCPS than proceed with a port replacement. If it doesn’t than proceed with diagnosing a no power issue
Or mail it to me 😉
I would but I’m up in Ontario Canada
Check out iphone repair guru on RUclips . I know he’s in Canada. Not sure what providence
Battery % is stuck at 0 after I did this repair. Did I do anything wrong?
0% means it can’t relay battery data
So either you didn’t screw the battery down. Or one of the battery connector pins was bent/damaged/etc.
Hopefully it’s just not screwed down. If one of the pins is bad, that’s a board level Microsoldering repair. I charge 135 for that repair
i’m not sure what just happen to my ipad (air 5th gen) but i was just charging it like normal and then it flashed on my screen there was water in the port then i started smelling almost a chlorine like smell and now it won’t charge at all i would love to send it through to you to find out what’s wrong with it

The commenter above took his iPad somewhere else. But I’ve fixed these before with the same issue. What country are you in
