This song in Hebrew sounds in the closing movie subtitles of Václav Marhoul's film "The Painted Bird" (2019) by actress Jitka Čvančarová. This is a very impressive movie ... and a beautiful song!
When Ima first arrived here, ethereal and young, Our Abba built a hillside house to warm her. Now many seasons passed, a half a century’s gone, And locks that since have turned to gray adorn her. But on the Jordan’s banks it’s as unchanged and still as lush As the day that she first came, the set’s the same, that stoic hush: The grove of eucalyptus, the boat, the wooden bridge, The scent of sage and saltbrush on the water. Beyond the Jordan, cannons did thunder and advance, By Autumn, peace united troops and spouses. And all the babes in arms are women now and men, Upon the hill, they’ll build their own new houses. But on the Jordan’s banks it’s as unchanged and still as lush As the day that she first came, the set’s the same, that stoic hush: The grove of eucalyptus, the boat, the wooden bridge, The scent of sage and saltbrush on the water.
The lady on the right looks like a VERY young Israeli singer Chava Albertstein, I would say. And she also sounds like her, so she is probably her. The lady on the left I do not know. The rest I do not know and the Hebrew text only says "horsham ha eucalyptus", which is "garden of eucalyptus trees", the name of the song.

What memories! I first heard it in Hebrew U in 1971 as a friend played it and sang on guitar. Beautiful song.
My mother sang this song to me when I was young/;
We sang this in English and Ivrit here in the states back in the 60's. Shtei Gahdot LaYardein!
Gives me the shivers.
Thank you Naomi for your answer, I love you!!!

Was she singing that song in Hebrew in the film ?
This is the song of the pionneers (Halutzim) of the country....composed by Naomi Shemer...
The Halutzim ❤
Deep love
Naomi Shemer was one heck of a kind of a musician. There are very few like her. This composition (in an original version) proves the point.
Favolosi ❤️❤️👍

Not sure but they may be part of the Karmon Singers and Dancers, and one of the singers is Naomie Shemer.
The girls are Tsila Dagan and Aviva Ron Tal. Neither look or sound anything like Chava Alberstein.
@@asafschreiber7941 I'm guessing two of the guys are Banais?
Not the same voice. @@michalptacnik1
