- In this From the Vault video I show off my complete Mk18 build collection including my clones and inspired builds. I love the idea of the Mk18, and taking the time to source the parts and make nice builds. I wanted both a clone correct mod 0 and mod 1 and a mod 0 and mod 1 inspired build made with the best components. So there you have it. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed building them.

Your builds and attention to detail are truly Awesome Brother, and yes the LMT CQB uppers were utilized in the beginning of the CQBR/Mk18 programs, I remember seeing, and handling a couple back in the day. I’m currently working on my second Mk18, which is inspired by a rare variant of the MOD 1, utilizing the Daniels RIS 2 FSB MK18 rail. The upper receiver and barrel are Colt. My first project is a 💯 percent clone correct CQBR, for the Mk18 MOD0, and like yourself, utilizing a LE 6920, M4 Carbine as a host lower receiver. Yes Sir, I have a deep appreciation of Quality, Historical items. I failed to mention I have a 💯 percent Clone Correct M4 Block 1. The upper receiver matches my Mk18 in regards to the markings, both C marked,keyhole, Cerro forged receivers. My original intention was to have a “Weapons System” that could serve both CQB, as well as medium/longer range Engagement roles. I was wondering if you plan on doing a URGI version of the MK18 to round out your collection, from beginning to current iteration. I’m planning to build a Clone Correct URGI, just have to decide which upper length. Looking forward to watching and supporting you, and your future Videos! Glenn N

Peq 15 / LA-5 are usually listed on GAFS subreddit or arfcom EE if you’re looking. Legal for ownership but can’t buy from a distributor since FDA regs

I’m so confused and don’t want to screw anything up on the paperwork. Should I just use the Silencershop kiosks since they already have my fingerprints on file?
brother they look amazing ,,,,,, i am building an AR pistol wish look like an mk 18 but i have not in mind to call it mk 18 clone or anything like that ,,, but let me tell you,,,, this AR pistol 10.5'' barrel are perfect for CQB ,,,,, and going around those corners with very smooth flow ,,, i love it ,,,, now i know that is going to be very loud on 10.5'' barrel ,,, people at the shooting range are going to love me right !!!!!!! but your mk 18 collection for sure rooks ,,,, great job your have done with those weapon systems amazing units.

I need another complete lower. I have lots of ARs but I have an upper with no set home. Its a PSA Premium FN barrel, KAC RAS and Matech. I usually get Aero M4 clone lowers but I cant decide between Aero, BCM or an FN M4 lower wi5h the regular stylized FN logo. What would you recommend?
I would go with the FN without hesitation.

Curious to hear your opinion on the Government profile barrel as opposed to the FN SOCOM barrel? During “sustained” fire im wondering if there is any noticeable difference in groupings as the barrel continues to heat up due to its thinner profile. Thanks and much appreciated👊
I think you might get a shift on either barrel regardless. These are not precision weapons, but CQB. Any barrel when over heated will change the point of impact.

Damn I thought I was cool with my Aero M4 carbine marked 10.5 SBR until you crapped on it. It’s just a poor man’s LMT inspired build but it does the job.
Had limited options for lowers in MA now I’m in KS so I’ll be getting a Colt lower to do a proper clone correct build at some point. Yours are awesome!

Just wish I could’ve sexed up my build with Daniel defense upper and a son of liberty (or radian, or ADM ) ambi lower…. But I’m poor…. I’ll still enjoy the crap 💩 out of the 2A!! 😊

So I applied for two stamps, (pre pistol brace rule) got got emails of approval, but haven’t physically received anything in the mail yet. I’m not sure what to do now? And the stamps were applied for October before last of 2022
You will not get anything in the mail. Your email pdf is the approval.
Ok, well thanks for the info brother! It’s such a vague process, and I haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone at atf, but they did send those emails a while back and I do have them stored (just didn’t know they finalized the process). Anyway I love your collection, and your channel along with “small arms solution” is what inspired my mod 0 clone’ish build. And yes I get ragged on sometimes but I to have a few of those pride and joy builds that I choose to shoot very rarely. 👍

All of my ar pistols are 10.5-11.5 they are the cheep versions of these don't want to be clone correct and don't care to but i tip my hat to those who do. Your chanel is awesome!

@@thetexasgunvault I thought I was "OCD" on a build of mine using Noveske parts and only from before john died. I did get a 300 that puts a cloverleaf at 100 yards with subs and around 1.5 MOA with suppers so I'm happy, but 4900$ was to much for my budget/wife lol. Some of yours go into 10s of thousands! beautiful work no doubt just having to work on getting a higher paying job so she doesn't worry and I can do clone guns for fun. Thanks for all you do.

Depends on how clone correct you want to go. A project like this could run anywhere from $4k to $8K depending if you can find the parts. Good luck in your search!
