  • Welcome to my first ever Tales From My Spinner Rack! RUclips video, "And Lo, There Shall Be A ... Spinner Rack!" This video is an introduction to me (Gary Sassaman) and the Secret Origin of how Spinner Rack came to be on my blog-www.innocent-bystander.com-and in my panel presentations at WonderCon and San Diego Comic-Con. Give it a spin and let me know what you think!

I grew up in the 70s so the Bronze Age are dear to me but there would not have been a Bronze Age without those amazing Marvel Silver Age books!

Correction: Curt Swan's career began in the mid-1940s, not the 1950s.

Glad I watched this one. I just KNEW I knew your name from somewhere. It was Innocent Bystander comics. Can’t recall which con it was (maybe one in Pittsburgh in ‘95?) but I did get a couple issues.

Thanks, Timothy! I'll be running a 4-part feature on my blog in November (starting 11/8) about the book I ALMOST did after Innocent Bystander, titled "Tails of Two Kitties," featuring the IB cats, Stan and Ollie. Lots of never-before-published art! www.innocent-bystander.com

Love the Artie Simek style lettering in your logo!

Thanks, but I can't take the credit for that ... it's a ComicCraft font, from lettering wizard Richard Starkings company. But it is based on the old Marvel monster hand-lettering by Simek, i'm sure. It's called CCFoom.
