From The George Sanders Saint Movie Collection - Many years before Roger Moore donned the halo of The Saint, George Sanders played Simon Templar in this series of five mysteries. Sanders had yet to cement his acting reputation playing the ultimate in cads, and brings his worldly air of charm, wit, and erudition to his portrayal of the debonair thief turned detective. Sander's mordant wit and cynicism lift the film series' banter up a level with its added bite. Ably supported by a great rotating cast of players, Sanders' The Saint helped set the standard for detective tales for decades to come. Five films, one great set, one greater value!
    Directed By John Paddy Carstairs
Starring George Sanders, Sally Gray, David Burns

I have seen this movie dozens of times and this is a great clip because you get a brief glimpse of George changing shirts. What a lovely man!

George Sanders was a class act. He must have really needed the job when he did his last film, "Psychomania," the worst of all the bad biker movies ever made.

This clip is the ONLY time in 6 RKO film that you ever got to see Simon in London, and at his apartment, which is exactly as described in the books. Sally Gray is my favorite "SAINT" girl, and Dugan is a perfect example of the sort of low-level ex-crooks Simon liked to employ. George Sanders is such a wonderful actor, that in this film he's able to make the part his own, DESPITE being completely wrong for it!!
"...IN LONDON" gets my vote as the BEST Saint film ever... but it would have been even better had it starred Louis Hayward.
Had RKO set all their Saint films in England (or Europe), author Leslie Charteris might not have TAKEN BACK the film rights from them.

His charm was largely in his wonderful way with dialogue.

Between that and his athleticism, Mr. Sanders made a fair Saint. (Ironically, George Sanders was a member of Leslie Charteris's SAINT CLUB charity.)

It's funny how John Abbott and George Sanders, who both appeared in this movie, later appeared in Jungle Book 1967 which ironically came out 28 years later
