I knew Denis before his debut with Voivod and at college he was already quite a character and a master of improvisation. He always remained humble and very approachable. Snake deserves attention from the fans !!

Snake is my fav vocalist/frontman of all time! Truly a big influence on me as a vocalist/singer myself. I discovered voivod after high school, so I’ve already listened to many different bands, but once voivod hit my eardrums, I knew this band is tha band for me; their aesthetic/theme/concept matched what I like and was so happy to find them. They may not get the same recognition as Metallica or slayer, but voivod are musicians, masters of their craft; not just saying that cause I’m a fan of their work but from an artist’s pov, they can play circles around slayer and any other metal bands you put them against. TO THE DEATH!!!! Cheers from Los Angeles!

Snake Dennis sounds here like he definitely find out the way how he speaks. 🤫🤔😜😄 I am from Slovakia, in 1985 on Highschool, 2nd year, bearing every day a "schoolbag" on which 3 logos SHINED: BATHORY, SLAYER and..and..and VOIVOD! Quorthon is dead (RIP), Slayer quit, but Voivod is here forever 😜🙋🏻♂️👏👏👏
Snake is such a legend, man, a very underrated one. What he does with Voivod is admirable since the day one, he improved his vocals and way of singing along with the needs of the band, he truly understands the sound and essence of the band, no one could do that as well as him on all the Voivod albums, He's a very underrated lyricist as well, he knows how to write captivating weird, but fascinating lyrics for an always outlier band like Voivod, he really knows how to be a adapt his voice to the band's music doing catchy choruses and strange vocal lines, all of the that just by being extremely creative and not really by being a natural typical talented singer who can sing high notes or being flawless with his execution, HE'S the voice of my favorite band, and no other vocalist can really feel or understand Voivod's music better than he does, he's a f*****n legend, one the greatest frontmen in rock and metal, and I love him, long live to Snake!
I always thought away did the lyrics but I guess it was just the art?
@@milesgemini4029 I think for what I know, Away was giving him the ideas and concepts but Snake was actually writing the lyrics in the early works
Hearing his approach to developing his vocal was definitely gold, most of what I learned about the band was in the 90s and we didn't have tools like this so thanks for the reply @@spectrum-g9511

40 years and still going strong!
I came across Dimension Hatross in 1988 or early 1989 and they've been blowing mind since then. I finally got to see them live a couple time in the past decade and they're so damned good. Snake fist bumped me at a show in Seattle and even though I was in my 40s, I felt joy like a little kid.

I think of Snake like I do Eddie Vedder, not a great singer perse but absolutely perfect for the band he is in (not a bad singer at all, do not get me wrong but not a historic voice like Doug Pinnick, Chris Cornell or Halford etc.). I love Angel Rat the most, especially the vocals... I wish they would do more like that instead of the thrash stuff these days.. that said the new albums have been great, i love thrash, still do... but that "space" sound was so interesting that it dominates my playlist even today... Hatross, Nothingface, Angel Rat, Outer Limits... man, one of the best 4 album runs of anyone imo... totally unique !

Не могу сказать, что этот парень мой любимый вокалист, но его оригинальность как и всей команды в целом заставляют меня возвращаться к этой Музыке снова и снова.Познакомился с этой Музыкой в 1987 году , слушая Killing Teghnology ,а затем Dimension Hatross в 1988, считаю эти работы Мега Шедеврами , переслушивая со временем их снова и снова. Все их альбомы считаю полезными для прослушивания, когда ты зациклился на чём-то , эта Музыка абсолютный неформат, Любой Альбом! Спасибо за то , что Вы есть, хоть я и не абсолютный фанат V O I V O D..
