Comment below if you think perspective is your nightmare!! share with up your struggle, we will make another perspective tips and tricks video to cover them, Kingston has many perspective trips for drawing different subjects,.
Thank you very much! I've tried to extend your technique for a 3-point perspective as well, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Would you have any tips on how to do this correctly?
You need to fix your audio levels guys, invest in some microphones and watch out for making pop up noises to loud. Really enjoy the vids, thanks guys !
Could you guys do a video dedicated to this exercise, slowing it down and explaining your thought process as you go through it? I feel like it's a great exercise but I'm struggling with it, and the video kind of rushes through it at 10x speed making it look super easy. Thank you!
THANK YOU....I read Scott Robertsons book, and it gave me migraine. And, I read some other books, just to be able to not hate Scott Robertson, because everyone loves him. Your video really helped in functional aspect of the workflow. Im self-teaching and I cant afford to get stuck on a concept for long enough. THANK YOU
Perfect squares in perspective, I feel this has eluded me. But having been only aware of ‘classic’ methods for perspective growing up, I feel ‘looser’ methods in this video are like gold dust 👌
Really a very useful way to deal with perspective on a day to day basis. I don't know if it's that you are just in time but I understood it better with you today. Thank you! PS: That homework in the description, incorporate it into the video! It's very valuable for those of us who are self-taught! Greetings from Argentina
Please keep this up!! It’s absolutely needed! We need more videos that explain the particularities of concept art and how to improve your skills! I’m going to be watching these on repeat lol! And also oh snap I was also gonna go for concept art but ended up tattooing instead lmao! I love it and see how closely related they can be!
KEEP THIS UP! THIS IS SO HELPFULL!! im not a concept artist but i am an architecture student and i wanted to learn how to draw buildings with logical perspectives fast and easy without having to actually draw all the perspective guidlines with rulers and t squares. thank you so much for this!
Really interesting approach. But in this case, let me ask you candidly : why don't we start by drawing the horizon line? Wouldn't it make it much easier then to draw all the perspectives lines of the subject? Surely, I have one or two ideas why this would be wrong or impractical, but I am not sure about it. If anyone can explain me. Thanks
I love the Insights! One Feedback, can you please silence the animation sounds a lot or just keep them out of the video at all? I noticed, that they threw my thinking of when I tried to follow your explonations greetings from Germany! 🥰
Loved the video. Maybe the information is going "too fast" for beginners to follow, but still great. Sometimes I had a hard time trying to understand what Kingston said, it was just me? It looked like the sound of his voice got low.
Some of the art fundamentals need lots of understanding or figure out from different explanations, but perspective especially this freehand perspective is more about hands on, if you follow the homework I share with you guys and complete a page of it, you will found out that all your questions would be answered by doing it. Have fun drawing
Great video guys! Great tip too! Though, would have loved seeing you do it a few times, it seemed to be over quite quick. I love that you showed common mistakes too but again they were super quick, had to watch a few times to make notes, which isn’t the end of the world but is frustrating.
I think one of my perspective struggles is spheres, or rounded forms, I have some trouble to make them look in perspective. Putting objects together can be a trouble, but I think in my case is a more a proportion problem than perspective 😂
Sphere is just circle when you do not add shadows or establish a light source. Add a shadow and it will look round. Your problem might be either of two things: Accuracy of line OR Shadow and lighting
I'm sure you've heard enough complaints about the audio. a good tip is to add a de-esser to your vocals and compress your vocals. This will reduce the sssss sound and prevent your audio from having random peaks in volume. I am new to RUclips as well. It is a lot harder than I thought. Good luck. Cheers!
That was very informative. I was taught to start with an eye-line regardless of subject or 1, 2 or 3 pt. perspective. I like the idea of that drawing challenge too. I do have one technical critique and might truly just be the audio settings on my TV, but your voice over faded out several times during the segments where you had 'fail' and 'pass' sound spikes. Overall, I'll be watching.
Ooh great tip, it bugged me so much that my VP's make randomly tilted horison and even drawing a simple cube sometimes gave an unpredictable results. P.S. You already know this but pls balance audio so that all the noise sources has the same range, both your voices and those extra sound effects. Even with bad mike you can do this through filters (i think it's called "Compressor" or smth), good luck! Looking forward for new videos!
I can tell English isn’t y’all first language and respect yak knowledge and delivery!! It’s definitely a struggle mastering 2 languages but you guys have done that so well and also mastered illustration and drawing!! I commend y’all and appreciate you for sharing this useful knowledge🙏 keep up the good work!!
Awsome ! It would be great if you do this vedio again with out time laps Perspective is a real mission , im going to down load this and share this in my group with your permission i love this ,
Please create more videos as there are a lot of HUNGRY viewers like myself who would love to learn more from you guys. I just discovered this channel so I feel like I discovered a gem from the ground floor. I would love to learn more about shape language and how to improve on design concepts that can be used in my work. I don’t have specific questions as I am still learning conceptual concepts. What are the fundamentals of concept design besides drawing well. How do I think in shapes; how do I create drills to create new shapes; how do I use color as a concept theory to enhance the idea??? Thanks for the videos you have already created, as I have watched those at this point, but I would really like to learn more from your future videos!!
I loved the silhouette exercise, great idea and I will definitely try it! The 1-2-3 "trick" baffled me: surely it's much easier (and a lot quicker) to draw the horizon line in first? Or am I missing something?
good video! my only critique would be: the sound effects were too loud, and sometimes it would be hard to hear what was being said, or even focus on what was being said.
I am really enjoying your videos. 🤩 I would like to see how the "1, 2, 3" concept works with 1, 2, and 3 point perspective together. Is that possible? 🤔 If this can be done I really would appreciate it. 😀 I have a lot of problems putting people in perspective. 😭 Thanks a bunch! 🥳 I hope you will create a training course for us in the USA. 😊👍🏽✏📒
Try fitting curved/spherical shapes inside of cubes its like 3D sculpting, but you draw it instead. For people, start by placing boxes cylinders and spheres in perspective and then think of the medium details like carved or protruding shapes. Keep in mind the 3d planes which are visible im your point of view(top, bottom and/or side planes) as this will inform you how the human forms will be depicted in the scene. Leave small details for after you have figured out the main forms of the body. You can also make a blocky human in perspective to which you can add curves on top.
I think of it like how KJG did. Simply eyeball it and keep track of the eye level. The first line you make already locks the eye level down. Just draw around it. It’s way more fun that way without worrying about too much technical parts
Hello :) , Great video ! one question tho, you have an amazing swatches setup and i was looking for something similar for years now, could you tell me where to find it xD ?
Great tip! And what happens when we need to scale an object or character in a space? Sometimes I feel my character or my object is too big or too small in an environment. Do you have any advice to measure or scale correctly when we work with a perspective? An example can be very helpful, I saw concepts with an "eye bird" perspective, but I don't know how to do that. Thanks a lot!
yes perspective is a real nightmare .. I don't see how there are any tricks to over complicate them or see how it can be fun every time i try it has become more and more of a nightmare . And I use clip studio
Nice video! A little feedback on the audio - perhaps you could improve the sound setup you have? Or maybe fix the sound in post? There's a lot of s' sounds that are high-pitched..
Suggestion: While you are explaining something, the background music makes it hard to focus on what you are saying so either you can remove the sound or lower its volume.
Lowering it is better, but we needed that music as it was whimsically beautiful, possessing futuristic vibes with a classical 90's retro nostalgia--like watching the rain fall through a floor-to-ceiling window of a Korean video gaming, bookstore coffee shop hybrid while Resident Evil, Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter, Baki, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Street Sharks are playing in the background TVs as fog permeates the city streets from sewer vents emitting a hazy glow. Yea...
Drawing perspective is NOT 'Boring'...I love it, and could do it by eye from about 8 years old. Artists should see perspective as a challenge - like ALL their art. Pick up that pencil and paper (remember those?) and draw. LEARN.
You video absolutely amazing, but guys please fix “HISS Sound” from Audio, but really nothing can made me not watching you videos and follow your channels ❤❤❤❤
Video was interesting. However the sound effects hurt my ears. I feel bad for anyone with headphones on. I recommend using different sounds and lowering the volume for the sound effects.
Hello Kingston, hello Nia . I worked on a personal project with my friends and realized that they have bigger visual library than me when we were designing, they were like came up with tons of ideas to solve 1 problem while my mind was blurred and stuck only on 1 solution. I asked them and they told me that they were just scrolling on social media to look for what they interested and then saved those stuffs to caterogies for future use. So is this a good method to develop our visual library? If not, is there a better way? Thank you
PLEASE FIX THE AUDIO !!! These are great points and exercises but the sound effects are loud, voices are low, and every SH sound you make pierces my ears. 🙉
Comment below if you think perspective is your nightmare!! share with up your struggle, we will make another perspective tips and tricks video to cover them, Kingston has many perspective trips for drawing different subjects,.
I don't really struggle with perspective, But I do find it hard to create interesting camera shots.
Audio is fine 😂
ty for this vids guys.. its very helpful to improve my skills...
We will work on it!
@@conceptual_ink yeah that definitely bothered me watching this i liked everything besides that though
Once the audio is fixed you guys will blow up!!
True I didn’t wanna say this right away but the knowledge was so valuable that I ignored the East ear pain
a deesser plugin would help a lot

THIS IS SO COOL! I'm using this trick right now, and perspective was so tedious for so long! Thank you both!
Are we just gonna breeze past his ability to create those ships with those shapes. That was seriously fucking amazing!!!
I think that drawing the old perspective way is great but these exercises are awesome, thank you!
Good video...small comment: might be good to turn down the volume on your effects inserts, the popping etc.
Wow its amazing perspektif ❤
I like it ❤❤
Thanks for sharing
From Indonesia 🇮🇩
deserves more attention❤
Just discovered your channel. Game changer!
Huh, that 2 point perspective tip is actually really helpful
oh, I heard the same. Kingston joining as director of the art department there at mages.

I was thinking the same thing. Why not just start with the horizon line? It's not clear to me here
You guys should create drawing exercises/ homework for us. I feel like it would make this less difficult to understand ❤
Just found this. I LOVE the sound effects. Ridiculously addictive. Great tips and great hook!
Hey Tonia, I got to know you n kingston joined mages institute. 👍🎉
I love the Insights! One Feedback, can you please silence the animation sounds a lot or just keep them out of the video at all? I noticed, that they threw my thinking of when I tried to follow your explonations
greetings from Germany! 🥰
Wow, that method is gold! Thanks so much.
Nia you are talented . Kingston too. But i think im in love with your art and of course you
Definitely gonna watch this video several times
Loved the video. Maybe the information is going "too fast" for beginners to follow, but still great.

So glad I found your video I'm am now subscribed just hope I can get myself to start drawing again.
I think one of my perspective struggles is spheres, or rounded forms, I have some trouble to make them look in perspective. Putting objects together can be a trouble, but I think in my case is a more a proportion problem than perspective 😂
We will cover them all … wait for it
sphere is the easiest though... sphere is just a circle wherever you look at it...
Sphere is just circle when you do not add shadows or establish a light source. Add a shadow and it will look round. Your problem might be either of two things: Accuracy of line OR Shadow and lighting
Well I can just picture them in my head so it's not really a problem for me
Scott Robertson has a ton of videos on what you want to learn.
I cant wait to practice this. This is the perspective training tip I needed 🎉 going practice this for days
I'm sure you've heard enough complaints about the audio. a good tip is to add a de-esser to your vocals and compress your vocals. Ah this video came in clutch!
The 4th line is confusing me. Does it meet the '1, 2, and 3' lines? Does it relate to the height? 🤔👍🏽✏📒
Ooh great tip, it bugged me so much that my VP's make randomly tilted horison and even drawing a simple cube sometimes gave an unpredictable results.

Can consider that, maybe I will put the longer version at discord as a resources for download
Yes, it would be very helpful 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Yooo Kingston, looking good my man!
I loved the silhouette exercise, great idea and I will definitely try it! The 1-2-3 "trick" baffled me: surely it's much easier (and a lot quicker) to draw the horizon line in first? Or am I missing something?

Sorry for asking most hated question by artists... but i had to..what's that brush at 0:11? Looks cool.
My main issue with perspective is, having multiple objects in a scene which have accurate proportions and placing the in the correct place.
In future we can explain that while talking about environmental design
I think of it like how KJG did. Simply eyeball it and keep track of the eye level. The first line you make already locks the eye level down. Just draw around it. It’s way more fun that way without worrying about too much technical parts
Awesome content guys, thanks for sharing ❤
This is so useful! THANK YOU!
Wonderful video for a learner ❤.Love the way you guys explained it
thanks for the vid, can you please provide a link for the roadmap at 0:41 I want to read it.

4:32 your voice audio needs more work before you can add those sound effects guys. overall good info
Amazing tips in this video! Unfortunately it's hard to understand and learn because of the audio quality
thank you very much for this content , i hope we see more of these in the near future
Very interesting, but please improve audio quality,, there are quite a lot of high noise that are unpleasant to listen to.
yes perspective is a real nightmare .. I don't see how there are any tricks to over complicate them or see how it can be fun every time i try it has become more and more of a nightmare . And I use clip studio

would you guys use this same method for drawing characters? if yes how?? would it be like you do at 5.16?
Hello bạn mới,chúc bạn thành công trên con đường hôj họa.
I need more videos of all of you
fun video!
subscribed!
holy shit i like this so much, thank you! take my sub
where can i download a high resolution version of the image at 0:41?
This is fun.

Yea...
Great video! But words with an s sound are a bit paifnul. But then, my hearing is a bit damaged. Thank you!
what was the chart you showed that had perspective in its own list?
Drawing perspective is NOT 'Boring'...I love it, and could do it by eye from about 8 years old. Artists should see perspective as a challenge - like ALL their art. Pick up that pencil and paper (remember those?) and draw. LEARN.
Lose the ego then try commenting again
I wonder if you guys could do some critique thing (paid) or free upto you for the people who are self learning because i literally can't afford FZD
Where can I find that roadmap on 00:43 ?
Great info, but those error sound effects 😂
"But what about 5 point perspective?" 😊
Seeing those letters in perspective will give me nightmares tonight!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I like perspective... 🥲
Where is the longest possible version of this video?
YOOOOO anyone have the link to that art flow chart at :40?
😊
Ohhh man. I wish the audio was better.
This looks like magic. I'm watching it happen infront of me and I still dont understand it. lol.
I can't get the second example to work.😭
Van demasiado rápido, no se si soy el único, pero enserió no aguanto el voltaje, podrían explicar un poco más detallado y más lento
My biggest problem is to find the center line of the shape.

Helpful video but 4:43 is a nightmare to listen to with these sound effects
The sound effects popping off at 2000% gave me cancer and now I'm dead.
good video but the sound effects are waaaaaaaaaaaay to loud compared to your voices, it's rly distracting.
PLEASE FIX THE AUDIO !!! These are great points and exercises but the sound effects are loud, voices are low, and every SH sound you make pierces my ears. 🙉
