Marion Boyce is so talented. Her work on "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries" is just as stunning as her work in this movie.
The clothes in this film are stunning. I want Kate's dresses!!!
this movie is a masterpiece on its own
I absolutely loved all the clothes in this movie. Very beautiful!
Even Una's wedding dress? Lol
@@reidb18 lmao
I absolutely loved this film!
I remember going on a date with watching a movie as part of the evening. Nothing interesting, at least to my knowledge, was up so we opted to go for The Dressmaker just because Kate was in it. We enjoyed the movie immensely.
How and WHY WHY WHY did I not hear about this movie!? 😕 Netflix night for sure 💖💄👠📿👑💎
I watch this film for the clothes more than anything.
Kate Winslet is Goddess
I love this movie
I need to watch this movie. Is it on Netflix?
I want to be Kate when I'm reborn.
Nice video but the music is TOO LOUD and not NEEDED
Gert looks like Michelle Williams.
So let me get this straight, this movie is about a dress designer who wears silly shoes and inappropriate clothing in a rural country town and is celebrated for drawing attention to herself by wearing her over-the-top fancy creations in public? 😂😂😂 LMFAO! What a ridiculous premise for a movie! I live in the country and I don't think I could ever picture myself (or anyone for that matter) walking a mile to the farm stand in strappy heels and a f***ing prom dress or even worse, someone who is riding a tractor wearing a formal gown with a train and picking fruit wearing satin gloves. You might as well have written a superfluous plot about a Haberdasher who moves to the Calihari in Africa to make custom designer winter coats for the bushmen!
I agree, but this typical of the sort of movies made today for the masses. I only came looking for a British 1988 film called The Dressmaker, which was a great film.
There is more to the movie and story than the dresses, the dressing up was just a little drama adding to the twisty movie. I saw it and can say it was quite good and different. Recommend you see it for yourself, you will be surprised.
I guessing you didn't actually see the movie. The main plot for the movie is actually Tilly finding out about her past in this town where she was basically thrown out of as a child. She uses her dressmaking skills to basically convince the women of the town to accept her back into their society so she can figure out what happened. One of the brilliant things about this movie is that even though the women in this town dress up too high society standards it doesn't make them better people, it just makes them shallow. This movie has some great twist and turns that I don't want to spoil here but I highly suggest you watch it. It's a great movie that demonstrates that cruelty is mostly shallow and subject to the whims of people in power.
You should see the movie before criticizing. Its actually a very good movie. A bit different from the book. But translates well. I can honestly say one of my favorite movies.
You should see the movie first before talking.
