Please do a video with the Strategic Bomber. I cannot use the guns, they are always pointed to the right and when I'm trying to line them up, the bomber turns. Any ideas?
It's not that hard to avoid planes. Keep in mind that all the pilot sees for most of his attack is a bunch of red dots, and you don't want to be one of the red dots that he notices. First off, you should never fire at an incoming pilot when he is relatively close and facing toward you with the ability to see and attack you. If you stay inconspicuous and aren't directly in the most juicy areas, he'll eventually pick another target and his angle/line of flight will be directed toward that. As soon as you see that he's committed to another target to an extent that would make it difficult or impossible for him to change direction and strafe you, that's when you light him up. You also light him up when he's leaving the target, when he's flying away from or parallel to you, when he's high up; pretty much whenever he's not an immediate threat to you. If all else fails, you'll still stop him from repairing even when he's far away. When to shoot is a judgement call, which you'll learn by experience. Obviously, the overall goal is to inflict the greatest damage possible while exposing yourself to the least risk possible. Never attract a pilot's attention if it will be obvious that you're the one shooting at him AND he's in a position to quickly attack you. If a plane does catch me surprise, I look at the angle of his wings and line of flight, and try to sprint toward him and to the left or right (whichever is more opposite to the angle of his wings) at about a 45° angle off his line of approach. A similar tactic can be useful against cavalry. See which side he carries his sword on; when he's committed himself to a line of attack, wait until he's fairly close and then sprint toward him at about a 45° angle off his line of approach on the opposite side to his sword. If cav uses his rifle and is good with it, you're screwed, unless you're really good with the AT gun or a sniper rifle. In both cases, you'll be moving toward (which is usually unexpected, lessens his target window, and helps throw off his timing) the attacker yet off to his side about halfway between head-on to him and perpendicular to him. Through experience you'll learn how to combine this with other quick maneuvers and adjust your timing and movements to the situation at hand, making it difficult for anyone except a very skilled pilot or rider to hit you if you do it correctly. It helps to keep your volume high. DICE seems to have nerfed the sound of incoming vehicles. I discovered that pushing yourself into a wall or into various crevices by holding down your sprint button as you're pressed up against the feature (wall, nook in a cliff face, etc.) reduces the splash damage of nearby bomb and bullet hits from planes. This seems to be one of those little tricks that the game knows about and rewards you for. DICE has apparently nerfed the effect of AT grenades thrown into the chest of an oncoming horse that is attacking you. Now I only get 80 pts damage per nade instead of immediately killing the horse and rider. This looks like a permanent change, or maybe my aim is off lately. I usually shoot down a couple planes a day with LMGs and the AA rocket gun. Failing that, I do everything I can to make the flying experience of especially obnoxious pilots as unpleasant as possible. Even if you don't shoot him down, if you're constantly shooting at him so that he spends most of the round either repairing, avoiding you, or trying to find and kill you, you've neutralized his usefulness to his team. Sometimes you become so annoying that all the enemy planes start working together to try to kill you, during which time they're all of zero use to their team. Psych! You've just manipulated the enemy's entire air force into pursuing a personal vendetta instead of doing their jobs. You can keep them going for a long time if you're good at hiding and avoiding, in between continuing to piss them off as much as possible. :-D Pilots are cocky, and it's surprisingly easy to get them so angry that they and/or their friends even start parachuting in to kill you. In that case, standard infantry tactics will apply. ;-) Note: It's surprisingly easy to shoot the rear gunners out of bombers, especially if you use a scoped LMG. Rear gunners on attack planes don't give me much of a problem, they're probably too busy looking for enemy planes and juicier ground targets.
I play pretty similar to you in the attack plane on but on Xbox tho. Is having the chase camera turned off really that beneficial. I swear you can maneuver way better. I can deal with AA and seat switching on fighters but some are just so good you gotta run into those kinda guys regularly don’t you? Playing like this does frustrate people and they hop in the OP fighters lmao
The difference of angry chat reactions between Console and PC always surprises me. I almost never get hate mail on console, but there is almost always someone salty in chat on PC.
i recently got into bf1 since ps2 died for me.. so i was playing some operations today. now im only lvl 20 and im no good at this game i can barely get 4 or 5 kills each game but today while i was playing i went scout and tried sniping.. now there was this guy who was coming towards i had cover and he didnt i hit him once and after that i missed like 8 shots and he killed me but after that he had to teabag me.... and that made me soo salty i instaquit the game... can someone please give some advice on how not to get salty and just remember that this a game that we only play for fun cause i keep forgetting it..... theebondetamp27 no one read your long winded comment about a computer game. Not even me.
good info
I think we can all agree that we hate planes and at rocket guns when they are used against us but love them when we use them.
Matti, how have you not learned in your entire Battlefield career that if anyone has over a 1.00 K/D ratio, they're hacking 100%?
Mines 1.5
Looks like that Behemoth (Char) went down fast because the driver drove it out of bounds.
