I can totally relate to the way you feel about your truck. I have got an ex military Land Rover 101 forward control gun tractor. It is painfully slow, has a V8 petrol engine so it is very thirsty, noisy, very harsh suspension, no power steering, basic heater, etc.. my wife refuses to even sit in it. It is impractical and with such an old engine, with no electronics and old school points condenser etc., has to be maintained all the time. There are so many reasons why it’s a nightmare to own and drive and I was mad to buy it, but one massive reason why I did buy it. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and I love it.
