i use blender sometimes but you are a pro in what u use now. i do have to say that blender is know for its massive amount of keyboard shortcuts. and is open source and keeps being updated! Can you maybe try to add a gimbal joystick preferably wireless ! :) than you can buy a 5.8ghz go pro transmitter and you can buy goggles for a drone.... and than mount the gimbal on a person and see what the camera sees and be able to point the camera were you want to with the wireless joystick! Than the only thing you have to tackle is the 4th axis (up/down) you see some 4th axis tuts on youtube but its not ideal yet. anyway:::Maybe best video ive seen on RUclips ever!!!!!

I'm sure you've noticed that the more you lose the center of gravity, the more effort it takes to realign it. A gimbal is doing the same thing. The more balanced it is, the less battery it uses and the less likely it is to fail.

Stepper, Endstufen, Wellenkupplungen, PC, Kabel und Kleinkram haben bei mir denn 1000er voll gemacht, geht aber auch alles billiger. Von der LCF-1 war ich nicht begeistert: Billigste Kugellager falsch eingepresst -> mussten erstmal ausgetauscht werden und Aufspannplatte nicht parallel zum Schlitten. Der Kauf ist aber auch schon ein paar Jahre her, die haben sich bestimmt verbessert.

What. Just because there's a CNC mill in the video doesn't mean you couldn't do it yourself. You could just as well print out a paper template, spray it on with some glue, and chop out the brackets by hand.

Also, those motors are super overkill for the gopro, those can probably handle a small to medium mirrorless. You need bigger ones for DSLR (80-120kv)

For handheld or RC use it is unshakable. Basecam is then much more profit oriented, but still chugging along nicely, I was surprised to find out :O Whatever., in the larger picture it doesn't matter unless perhaps budgetary constraints or you like the new developments in something that the average consumer takes fore granted largely until it fails
The hall sensor feedback in the Rollei I believe was pilfered from his good works. No attributes naturally. I am no good at regaling the mans feats of gimbalage, but he is one of the cornerstones
What forum were you looking at ? Simple Google search will bring up vast info on this but .... I can give you a base cost in USD for 3 axis of less that 80. 25 for the board on fleabay, and 40 for the NT sensors including shipping from www.Ensys.com and they are in Lithuania or some such :-) ( very good quality) . If you don't mind waiting for their Epackage delivery times from China. Perhaps you could get it sooner in the USA. Customs bottleneck the hell out of everything here in Canada . Or source some of it on Amazon. That is for the board and the motion sensors (simple term) there is a decent sized shopping list of little and large bits of course. What is your end use?

The motors I used (BGM-5208-200) are actually made for DSLRs and the driver (Basecam SimpleBGC) can deliver enough power. The frame: There is another video series out there, where someone makes an entire gimbal from carbon fiber and epoxy, looks a bit difficult. Maybe printable parts can be found on thingiverse or grabcad...

What's the total parts cost for the STorM32? I couldn't find any mention of it in the forums or the Wiki.

yeah, guy uses his own CNC at home which a lot of professional shops can't afford, and the title says DYI.... not really
you don't need the cnc - cut the parts using a saw or whatever or use hypnosis.
Isn't it a cheap/salvage CNC though?
A cnc like that only costs a few hundred... Definitely within diy range, and besides it's not necessary at all if you don't need the boards instantly
