Awesome video! Two of my favorite strongmen. Both were highly athletic and very strong, even though they aren't giants like Thor, Stoltman, or Shaw. Much respect to the "smaller" guys who still managed to get it done 👍💪
Two top strongmen no question….one was the best built, the other the lightest. When a 485 bench is considered “weak”, it speaks to the volume of how strong these guys really are. Nice video, both were great champions.
Pudzin wasn't only strong he was smart, after getting appropriate point leads he always toned down his intensity and used to conserve his energy for his strong lifts, you can always see him communicating with his team and understanding the standings and points for respective events
Hey can you do a video on Bruno Sammartino? I feel like he had some underrated strength for a professional wrestling in the 50s and 60s. Easily one of the strongest of his era.
How about a video on the largest strength athletes of all time? In terms of bodyweight Josh Silvas is 490 lb strongman (ik you did a video on him) and Thor and Shaw are right behind him in the 460-470 range at their biggest. Idk about the heaviest powerlifters but im sure there have been some over 500 lbs before
Great comparison, thanks for doing it. I assumed Mariusz would have the overall bigger lifts, but thought Jouko might just about win the pound for pound. Both still amazing athletes!
Re the p4p strength, I too thought that Jouko may just take it. if it were down to the Squat, Log press and deadlift he would have, however the difference between their bench press is what made the difference.
@@StrengthUniverse That makes sense. I knew Mariusz had some great lifts, but didn't realise his bench was so high. that's still world class by todays standards!
They may have the smaller PB to compare with the giants of this sport. But boooiiii those numbers are still too high even for the average of these guys size
Mariusz has never been striped of a titles for being "Juiced". He was disqualified for breaching the IFSA health policy meaning he either tested positive for recreational drugs or duretics
Thanks for watching. Who do you think is the better strongman?
My opinion jouko.

Glad you enjoyed!
really amazing despite that 20kg weight difference, their lifts (except bench) were very close
agreed, remarkably close

It looks like Jouko's grip in the bench press is too wide for optimal results.
No, that's about right.
Respect to both 💪💪💪
Jouko was my favorite strongman ever 👍👍
Juoko was the ultimate lean strong in my opinion, 6' 2" and never exceeded 280 lbs.
Ahola is nearly half the weight of Glenn Ross at his peak!

Exactly 💯

In relation to the weight Jouko Ahola was stronger
As per the video, even when calculating the athletes strength in relation to bodyweight, Mariusz is stronger
Dos de mis favoritos, hay una diferencia importante de peso, los dos unos fuera de serie.💪✌️👍👍👍
Jouko looks like a rioded up Tim Curry, lol.....
I miss you streengh universe😊
I'm still here
Just proves how bad ass Juoko was
Absolutely, forget the bench press which isn't important in Strongman, Jouko holds his own against Mariusz in all the other lifts
Mariusz winner in this 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Was the 190kg log lift in training not used because you were doing log lift in strongman comp only?
Correct
jouko was really light but mariusz won worlds strongest man 5 times
Mariusz!
Mariusz all day.
They may have the smaller PB to compare with the giants of this sport. But boooiiii those numbers are still too high even for the average of these guys size
Mariusz would have destroyed Jouko in SM, no question
Marius is my all time favourite strong man. He is fastes, pound for pound strongest and fittiest.
Did not know being juiced up made you smart
Mariusz was juiced to the max was striped of some titles
