I miss my Lumia 520. It was limited in so many ways (no front-facing camera, poor display brightness, minimal storage space, etc.) but MAN, was it fun to use. That was the phone that made me a bit of a camera geek- and made me truly appreciate the power of a software update.
I remember my Nokia Lumia 520 which my dad bought me while I started college back in 2012. My friends ran into me to take thier photos with its impressive 5mp camera. Aahhh miss those days. I strongly believe the Lumia 1020 is the lumia phone remembered the most.
For me the most beautiful Lumia was the Lumia 800 with its beautiful pillow shaped design and curved glass and the next was the Lumia 930 with the beautiful aluminium frame. I'm still using my Lumia 730 as an alarm clock, still feels good as new.
Yay, my baby Lumia 620 got a shout out!! It was my first smartphone and I still love it. It feels so tiny now compared to how big smartphones are now, and I love its matte bright yellow back case. It also survived so many terrible falls, even though it finally died during a system update after 3 years. The Lumia era is truly special!
My first and last Windows Phone was the Lumia 530 which I bought with my own savings when I was still in highschool. It's still working to this day and the performance feels like new. I'm thinking of buying more Lumia phones in the future like the 1020, 930, 830, and 730.
I was fortunate to own a 925 and a 1020 (which was my daily driver up to two days ago) but the 1020 was my favorite. I did think the music app on the 925 was nicer than the later versions. Now I'm using a Nokia XR20, with Launcher 10 skin, it's nice, but I really miss Windows Phone 8.1.
I'm still waiting for HMD to bring back the iconic Lumia design. WP8 was amazing on Nokia devices, wish MS should have pushed on instead of abandoning it.
I had five Nokia Lumia phones! Bought one the first year it came out. I still have my Nokia Lumia 630 and 830! I mostly use them for music using Zune player. And it made a really cool Spanish podcast that is not available on Android and iOS til now! I would buy another one if the store is still usable. Unfortunately not.
I will like every Nokia Lumia video out there. You're so right that it didn't get the recognition it deserved. I'm still mad; all that hardware design and innovation (some features we didn't see in the competition until years later) down the drain all because they chose to put their eggs in one basket. Sure Android Nokia phones are a thing now, but they inherited neither the elegant designs nor the innovations of the past. It's just soulless crap after crap now from some shady company. It honestly doesn't deserve the Nokia branding.
I had a Nokia lumia 630 as my first phone and it was really great! The style was sooo unique and pleasing. If it wasn’t for the apps not being supported anymore I would still use it! It has been 8 years and still works fast and doesn’t lag whereas my android phone from 3 years ago almost doesn’t work now.

I won't be able to pick a single Lumia out of the bunch because all of them were my favourite. I had Lumia 800 which I bought way back in January of 2012 and boy oh boy that phone was packed with some amazing features like outstanding camera, buttery smooth UI, outstanding Amoled display, and a plastic build device that looks and feels way better than any modern day smartphone. That good of a smartphone was Lumia 800 or any model in the Lumia series for that matter. Later on I upgraded to Lumia 1020 and the camera on that was the highlighting point of that smartphone and to be honest I would say that it's camera felt like as if it was some kinda alien tech because no iPhone, no Android phone or any other phone of that era came even close to what Lumia 1020 delivered, let alone of beating it.
i also had that phone in 2013 but due to some issues it's motherboard damaged. but I've all of the photos captured by lumia 800 and I'm amazed to see the depth of field provided by nokia phones, camera sensor was outstanding, even todays flagship can't stand in terms of image quality and balance of color contrast..
I miss Nokia Lumia badly. I'm still learning to do without it. I don't know why Nokia stopped producing Lumia. I just wish they could be back in the market.

Are used may hmd global Nokia Android phone only 7 plus was best in terms of which equality which you won't regret. Nokia was awesome with Lumia. Personally for me, what draws me to the Lumia lineup was the OS. I used to be in the Android bandwagon before I decided to bought myself a Lumia 830 in July 2016. Since then, it has become my daily driver to this day. As for the Lumia 830, it has been in service until October 2018 where I bought a Lumia 950 XL as its replacement.

As Abdulla will be aware, I, like him was a SERIOUS Nokia fan (Us two could have been considered 'Majority Shareholders' in the company with the amount of phones/models we bought lol 🤔😏). But when Nokia Joined forces with Microsoft (at the time I was using my N8), there were two factors that had me so God damned wanting to move over with Nokia, and one factor that was like a brick wall stopping me. Good old Nokia design backed up by the sheer ingenuity and incredible feature sets they kept building into their handsets.... That software. Yeah, ok, there were positives to it, but, OH I HATED that tile design and the 'restrictive' customisation (unlike Android where you could customise your phone a lot, and Apple (to this day), you buy their phone and it's Apple's way or, well, Apple's way). So.. I missed out on the whole Windows Phone scene.... (Wish they had stuck with developing MeeGo, the N9 & N900 though)... 🤔😏😎🇬🇧

I miss the Lumia! I was just talking with Nokia about the leak 6.2 compared to the Nokia 6.0 and 6.1 --- and Lumia. These are hammer-quality-phones (when the world goes down, you can still use your Nokia 6.0, 6.1 and Lumia as a hammer)
My first Lumia device was the Nokia Lumia 925 black , what a beautiful device, it was a fantastic time. After HMD announced that it would not update Nokia 9 to android 11 due to incompatibility with the camera, it shows us that HMD made the same mistakes as Nokia at the time of Microsoft, and certainly lost some fans because of it, it's already on time to get their products right, delayed updates, they lost their differential, very sad about it.
Lumia design is the best Bible for HMD to refer when designing their new phones. I was quite upset when saw the render of a PureView smartphone with "just like another brands" design

I deeply miss the lumia range of devices. I'm currently using a Xiaomi device. Redmi note 8 which is a budget device. It's beautiful, glass body, HD display with beautiful picture and colour. The camera is decent as well. But after a couple software updates, it's horribly slow. Even with the decent snapdragon 665 chipset. This hardware would've been better used if it ran Windows mobile.
I have a Nokia 5.3 with the same 665 chipset, and sometimes it is barely usable due to its lag. Windows Phone on the other hand used to run very smooth on the lowest end hardware.
@@jeanpierregrech3380 And it isn't even a bad shipset. My phone ran super smooth on android 9. Android 11 sucks. But I a can promise you... Was this phone running Windows mobile... Different story. It would really use this chip set to it's full potential and run so much better than that clean OS. I've seen seen a Samsung galaxy S21 show some lag. Android just isn't clean enough.

Those old Lumia phablets had a 16:9 aspect ratio, so even though the display is diagonally smaller, the display area was actually a bit bigger than most modern phones that are tall and narrower :D

I have always wanted to own a lumia phone. But since they no longer support some of the apps which are needed on a daily basis, buying one will be nothing but waste of money. The pre HMD nokia phones (keypad and touchscreen) were the best phones in the market.
Having Lumia 1020 was and is a dream I always wanted to and want to live. But I know I can't. Because honestly I tried to find it but it's way too hard.
Everything was in the hands of Nokia and the money for such production of course. On the other hand, Android struggled to get Compatible Hardware to run it. Nokia was pro then but it was just the developer taking no interest to develop apps for it
I really like these designs of the Lumia phones, they bring some excitement that is lacking in the current smartphone market imo. But as much as I want these designs to come back, i feel as if reviewers are going to write it up as "cheap plastic"
I still keep my Lumia 930. I dropped it so many times, there is no single scratch one the device. About the why lumia failed I think there are 2 main reasons. First the paradox of: People are not buying the phones because there is no apps - developer are not making/updating apps because people are not buying the phones. Second: Google services.

i loved how these devices didn't require me to babysit it due to the solid build. metal and glass scratched and shattered if not protected by a case

I have been using Lumia for about 5 years, I've had Lumia 620, 730 ds, and 640XL. I assume the best design is 830 with its awesome circle camera.

MIUI just sucks when it comes to performance. I installed a stock-ish custom ROM on my old Redmi and the difference is night and day.

Loved my Lumia 521. I think it's camera is much better than the camara in a modern low end phone like Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition.
