@crendor I know a really good way to alleviate the discomfort. Get a steaming hot bowl of water, light a gently (like oaky) scented candle, and gargle Deez nuts
Mantids have some of the most versatile technology to date. Including but not limited to: - Sonic Shielding - High yield explosives - Amber prisons - Bio-genetic alterations I think its safe to say building homes were well within their repitoire.
Azaroth Raptors are canonically intelligent. Those ones are more birdlike but the "raptor feathers" you can loot from their more reptilian looking counterparts in the Barrens and the like weren't originally because the irl dinosaurs had feathers, but because they would decorate arm bands with bird feathers. It's entirely possible those raptors did in fact construct that house as a shelter out of scavenged materials.
For the raptor nest. There is a primitive version of that in the barrens. It was a raptor's nest but under a ton of thorns. I think this is more of an upgrade
I’ve loved watching the PTTs since I was a kid because now it just kinda feels like you’re sitting listening to your friend infodump about the most random things. it’s very comforting.
Man I have been watching you for almost 15 years now, through couple of different accounts, since Mankriks wife. It's feels like yesterday... I don't know why I needed to write this. Feels like I know you personally. Anyway, you are criminally underrated, but at the same time, your fanbase is so ride or die, most of us have been here forever and some people are probably even gatekeeping you.
Think it was back in the original Barrens raptors were established as smart. Seem to recall a quest where you had to kill raptors in a village and they had either tiny huts or decorated nests.
6:32 Crendor, you magnificent man! My friend and Inhave always said that model was the coolest and most underused cave/building in the game. There's a scourge version whwre they make the giants, but I always loved the normal version and wish it got a cozier use that wasn't full of bones and broken furniture and polarbear poop.
@sanderdavid8626 There's a terraced area iin I wanna say western Icecrown where the Scourge are making undead giants and thr I think Ebon Blade are stopping them.
How about the houses and towers in pre-Cata Orgrimmar that have no entrance at all? Not even locked doors, no doors or any kind of aperture or orifice at all.
So I was curious with you talking about making buildings out of the bones of animals and dead things and I was curious if that's actually possible IRL and it turns out that my house is smaller than a blue whale so that's kinda crazy
Each time I enter a dungeon or encounter a cool building I just picture the main NPCs talking to an interior designer and ordering the decorations. There's gotta be a huge warehouse of just skulls somewhere on Azeroth.
the booba and crotch bots are back they always make crendor smile who cares i like the building in STV like the ones in at @2:00 i was like cool a snake statue i thought the tents in Zanger and nagrand were oogie boogie corpse from the night before christmas it sorta looked it them as when i first started playing wow
I farmed Val'sharah and those raptors for ages to get all the pets and mounts and somehow never encountered the raptor house. I even just scanned all the shore of Val'sharah just this week because I misunderstood the hint in the sleuth anniversary thing, still didn't find it. Where is this thing??
Now I kind of wonder what architexture might be. Like the art of creating a building mixed with a 2D texture. Or the tactile sensation of a well designed structure. It's a nice word.
Bael Modan, a small Dwarven outpost in the Barrens. It's a reused Dwarf architecture asset you see in a lot of places but it always felt weird and out of place to me, maybe it's because it feels so small.
Garvan's Reef is one of my favorite locations in game, it feels so out of place being so unique in the world, it reminds me more of a place you would find in an elder scrolls game not warcraft.
The Collosals were fragments of the living mountain named Grond that Aggramar brought to life with Titanic discs to fight the Sporemounds. When Grond fell, pieces him with the discs reanimated into the Collosals, then after they fell parts of them rose to be the Magnaron. Then the spores from the Sporemounds worked like the Curse of Flesh and caused Magnaron that were afflicted with them to devolve into the Gronn, later mutations led to the Ogron, then one eyed Ogres, then regular Ogres and finally the last mutation created the Orcs.
shadow lands had soem of the best visual design wow has ever had, even what we see in the war within is only just barely catching up to shadow lands visuals its such a sham everything else about shadowlands dragged it down because the story outside zoval and the retcon shenanigans with sylvanas was actually really good
Honestly, BFA and Shadow lands had SUCH good and incredible art direction... I'm just so disinterested in their plots also I think that the dragon flight expansion was also INCREDIBLE in it's environment design. I am obsessed with the maarukai centaur. Wish I could play one
I've been watching quite a few of these recently, and I have to ask, because after doing some quick research I see that Crendor has been making WoW content for, what, 15 years..? I'm genuinely curious. Are these satirical? Am I an idiot and just not seeing the funny for these videos? Like, I get that they highlight pointless stuff, and as such aren't really supposed to mean much other than pointing out some weird stuff in the game, or be taken seriously at all. But... How do you look at a bird-creature's nest and go "idk how they made this". Its a dinosaur nest. How do birds, the irl, modern equivalent of these dinosaurs, make their nests? No, you're right. Its not a house. Its a nest. They collect building materials, and in the case of the bottles, shinies. Real life birds do that too. And the Troll shrine? "There's skulls and snakes here"..? Go to literally any other Troll ruin in Stranglethorn. Again, maybe I'm just an idiot and just don't get how someone who has been making content about this universe/game for such a long time don't even know basic lore bits in some of these videos. The creepy things video, at one point you were talking about creepy totems in Felwood and went "I don't know, maybe these were corrupted by Fel." Fel-corrupted trees and totems in **Felwood**? Wow, what an idea.
Never forget about that time crendor had laryngitis because crendor will never let you forget about that time crendor had laryngitis
yeah but remember that time I had laryngitis
Top -- Times Crendor had laryngitis
@crendor I know a really good way to alleviate the discomfort. Get a steaming hot bowl of water, light a gently (like oaky) scented candle, and gargle
Deez nuts
Sounds like the lumbago gag from Red Dead Redemption lmao
@@crendorBut like, have you ever had laryngitis?
Mantids have some of the most versatile technology to date. Including but not limited to:
- Sonic Shielding
- High yield explosives
- Amber prisons
- Bio-genetic alterations
I think its safe to say building homes were well within their repitoire.
The amber prisons also work as stasis chambers keeping the being inside in indefinite suspended animation
6:11 he said the thing
I always thought architexture was just your clever way of combining architecture and in-game textures. Please don't change it, it's great!
I like it too because it reminds me of indie games reusing assets cleverly. A lot of classic/ BC/and WOLK use reuse assets in fun clever ways
It is funny how Crendor can't say 'architecture' correctly but in the same video effortlessly pronounces 'structure' right :)
For the raptor nest. There is a primitive version of that in the barrens. It was a raptor's nest but under a ton of thorns. I think this is more of an upgrade
They are actually Falcosaurs, not raptors
I’ve loved watching the PTTs since I was a kid because now it just kinda feels like you’re sitting listening to your friend infodump about the most random things. it’s very comforting.
My favorite buildings are the furbolg log houses, theres one somewhere that you can go inside
One in Wrath's Grizzly hills, and Cata added one like it back into felwood
I actually talk about that one on “things you never noticed in wow”! ruclips.net/video/Rb5jOPFOGeE/видео.htmlsi=2EvwTmScZdsNI-sh
Something about the rounded bases on the jinyu buildings definitely gives rts town hall vibes
My morning has been blessed with another top 10. Love these videos!

Yes, Crendor, you finally said it right! It ARCHI-TEC-TURE! 😂
8:33 You know it smell bad in there.
I love waking up to Pointless Top Ten ❤
Oh, an architect deals with architecture. Most people say Ar-keh-tek-churr.
Orcs: stick metal pikes on top of their buildings.
Crendor: lookie here,... A weird looking tree house
The Annie Bonn character is a reference to the real pirate Anne Bonney 😄
Congrats on 500k subs!!!
Thank you Crendor for bestowing this list of pointless treasure things upon us. This is such a great bingable series. 🙏🔥
Seconded
1:25 it's the old temple from the old Zandalari embassy island in pre-cata. The whole village is a spun arpund copy
Architect just means "ruling stonemason". Archein means ruling or directing . Tekton means mason or more correctly stonemason
Perfect timing. Now I shall listen to this as I doze off.
Only Crendor could get Covid from a technicolor hedgehog AND get a concussion from ants within a couple years of each other
I honestly never knew about the raptor house in Valsharah, that one was a surprise.
Thanks Crendor!!!
Ban the bots, Bathe the voice box in the healing juices, and hope you feel better, dude.
Want me to bring a Foam Render?

oooh really, where?
@sanderdavid8626 There's a terraced area iin I wanna say western Icecrown where the Scourge are making undead giants and thr I think Ebon Blade are stopping them.
The troll building is where you use to hand in Bijou for the raid before it was sadly made a dungeon.
How about the houses and towers in pre-Cata Orgrimmar that have no entrance at all? Not even locked doors, no doors or any kind of aperture or orifice at all.
I actually plan on doing "buildings you can't enter/get into" lol
@@crendor Haha, I'm looking forward to it. :D
Those damn towers in azshara...@@crendor
@crendor I hope #1 is the nightelf highborne tower ruin model. Ever since I started in BC I have been horribly sad we can't go inside.
@SathReacts And in Ashenvale, Desolace, Bloodmist, probably Feralas, stonetalon, and silithus too.
6:29 There is actually another cave/building system like this one in Icecrown at the Fleshworks.
i love the jinyu buildings theyre so pretty, definitely weird especially in the rest of the pandaria environment,, so unique i love the orbs
i love the spires of arakk because they are so clearly inspired by the movie the dark crystal which i also love. the buildings are so pretty!
So I was curious with you talking about making buildings out of the bones of animals and dead things and I was curious if that's actually possible IRL and it turns out that my house is smaller than a blue whale so that's kinda crazy
Actual arctic people traditionally made buildings out of whalebone, so the tuskar are just imitating real cultures
I see the little Illidan guy Crendor
Each time I enter a dungeon or encounter a cool building I just picture the main NPCs talking to an interior designer and ordering the decorations. There's gotta be a huge warehouse of just skulls somewhere on Azeroth.
Okay, given today's announcement of player housing, this was incredibly well-timed
500K, GRATS!
for 9, the troll temple, there is one of this same exact structure used in old classic era/vanilla for turning in the idols for Zandalari reputation!
Lillidan.
Letsgoooo hey what about: top 10 places to visit while using an Inky Black potion??
recently managed to get inky potion to last a good while into Hallowfall, probably from lag or sth. it's so beautiful, the whole zone is a masterpiece

"Architexture" is a completely coherent word, irregardless of what others might think. We, your followers, support you in your use of the word!
Annie Bon is a historical pirate ref too :)
Kinda random but I always love to see Billy in the end postcard.
This is an especially good top 10 pointless video. I would say it might even be in the top 10 itself.
Need a Top 10 list of your Top 10 lists
zangarmarsh and nagrand are two of the most beautiful and well designed zones in all of WoW

7:42 holy shit. This just made me realize how epic it would be if they made Warcraft 4 and it had all the new races n stuff
For #10, isn't that kinda like the place the gnolls live in Feralas? Can't login to confirm but I feel like they have a similar structure...
I LOVVVVVVVVE UR VIDEOS MAN
I love mantid architecture
Has a top 10 Pointless Tresures been done yet
